I always forget that Christmas comes in Summer for Australia. Wouldn't that be weird?? Still, the kids look just as excited for Santa as ours do building snowmen. Aunt Deb had to spend the holiday in the cold Midwest, but, her neice and nephews look happy on the beach and in front of the tree. They are Lucy and Liam, and then Harry, Samuel and Archie. Adorable! Merry Christmas guys!

I know! I have a cousin near Brisbane and they never have a white Christmas. It always bugs me when people associate 'god's blessing' with snow on Christmas. Does that mean the tropics are SOL?
I have some amazing recipes from my cuz in Oz. ANZAC biscuits. YUM! They eat pumpkin as a side dish with tea. She had never heard of anything sweet made with pumpkin.
Best wishes to you, Pat. =)
I know, my Oz friend was blown away when I told her we make pie out of pumpkin. lol.
I still cant get my head around that ppl in America eat pumpkin pie. I am use to eating pumpkin with my dinner which i hate anyway!!
Mmmm Anzac biscuits...they are yummy!!!
Well just say looking outside with this snow we are getting, i would rather be back home enjoying the nice weather!!
I measured the snow we got overnight last night..we got around 8 inches and that is on top of the snow we got the night before. I think we now have like around 14 to 16 inches. And its still coming down!!!
Merry Christmas
Deb
I guess I am going to have to find out what these Anzac biscuits are. Aussies are a happy bunch, that I know. They put the P in party.
biscuits are cookies, right?
Yes, Val calls them biscuits or bikkies. But they're cookies.
Loved these pictures Pat. I felt a little closer to these little kids :).
Don't know if you knew but Deb's parents came here in October and we spend 4 days driving them and showing them around here. It was wonderful spending time with them and we all enjoyed ourselves so very much.
(so if you really want to know if I am as nice as I seem to be -- I have proof lmaoo).
