Grammy nominations, Taylor swift is not fascinating enough to make Barbara Waters list, "Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009"..Walters chose to bump Taylor for Adam Lambert. Barbara: "We said, 'Should we have done Adam Lambert or should we have done Taylor Swift?' And then he did this huge thing (on the awards show) and we said, 'Ah! We got the fascinating one!'"*
Okay, I get that, Lambert and this whole ridiculous gay controversy is interesting. But, Walter could have bumped another choice on her list for Taylor. Namely, Kate Gosselin. WTF, Babwa? "Nobody hit the scales harder this year than Kate Gosselin," says Walters. "And this career is not over."

Hit the scales? I have no idea what that even means. Did she weigh the free stuff she scammed America out of? Does Babwa think we're all retarded? Because I don't think an ignorant breeder who won't take care of her kids and uses them is "fascinating". You just lost me, Babwa. I won't even be watching this crap on You Tube. It's not like I'm a Taylor Swift fan, but, I think a young girl who's actually doing something with her life is a hell of alot more deserving of the spot than a child exploiting abuser.

Don't like Babwa. I think she's distant and cold. When she had Kate on as a guest host I figured she was just playing up to her viewer demographics. Don't mean to be snarky but I don't find that show entertaining at all.
Kate got on the list to please those self same demographics. It's all about ratings.
I love Taylor Swift. She's poised, polite, respectful and funny. She will be a bigger star than anybody ever imagined. After seeing her on SNL, I see she has acting skills and a great sense of humor.

Can you believe there was a time when Barbara was relevant and important? She interviewed Castro, Sadat & Begin, Katharine Hepburn. "While She was Out", a movie revolving a bit around Christmas, Kim Basinger, on DVD, I recommend it. If the "F" word bothers you, don't watch it, but it made me feel empowered. I think that is the right word. Check it out.

Ba ba Wa wa (that name never gets old IMO) is just another kiss-ass journalist now. She ought to be on "Entertainment Tonight" with the rest of the empty-headed hosts who never ask anything hard-hitting, just tell celebrities stuff like "Oh wow, your body looks so fantastic!"....that is not real journalism. Sad Barbara Walters is in this league now, because I know she used to be respected.
Barbara's "most fascinating" list is just another way of saying "People who may be dull as dirt, but got a lot of attention this year and sold a lot of tabloids".
Just 2 cents more. Real journalisism is dead. Newspapers are dying by the day. The ones left are asking for bailout money and ain't going to get it. The government needs to make sure all news reporting is bought and paid for.

The only person I like on this list is Lady Gaga. She can sing very well and her song are catchy. I also like Adam Lambert for his sexualized performance just because it was so cool to see a MAN act that way for once. I am so over seeing female celebs objectifying themselves, and I like that a man finally did it. Other than that, this list sucks. Also, Taylor Swift is not fascinating in the least. I'm sick of her being shoved down my throat.

Don't care, won't watch it. I'm so tired of BW, and while I can see that she is referring to Kate G as fascinating because, what did she do, really? Nothing noteworthy, and yet she made all those tabloids, all the blogs, etc. The phenomenon that occurred is fascinating, but not the loser at the eye of the controversy.
