I was restless last night, couldn't sleep, so I went to You Tube and looked up "How to cut a bob." I think it came out okay, the back is really nice. My face scared me though. Good thing I have good hair, the rest of me is shot.

WOW Pat, good for you! I bet it makes you look younger. Have a great day!
WoW! Terrific cut. And you did that yourself?! OMG - you are totally fearless. It's amazing - you did that for free, gave yourself a stylish bob and yet Kate G.'s horrible, skankalishish "Ho-Doo" cost $7K?! Heh.
Looks GREAT! I love a good bob cut. You can still sweep it up for evening or stick it in a ponytail on, "those days" and look decent without a blow dryer and a ton of time.
My goodness ! It looks wonderful and you have a lovely shade of natural blonde too. You have revealed another talent to us all. It's such a classic cut you look great DD :) with you and your new bob doo Im passing my title of blonde bomshell over to you:)DD! - Kiki in Canada
Oh my wait till crabbie sees your new doo ! Where's our jarhead been lately? I hope he sees it. DD You better get ready for some gentlemen callers !!! Kiki in Canada :)
Off topic, but has anyone ever noticed that you can really age overnight? I just noticed that I have an age spot on my hand. I don't think it was there yesterday. ugh! Turning 50 sucks! I saw a picture of myself 2 years ago, thought I looked pretty OK. I look so much older now. I'm pretty upset!
Maureen, if you want to be grossed out, turn your hand upside down and hold it in front of you. I showed a friend that the other day and we were horrified. LOL. My hands have so many spots I could play the dots game.
Wow, good job. I want to see a whole pic. I get scared just trimming my bangs.
When I was little I had one of those hair bead string things in that you get done at a fair, it was actually made with my hair not just a clip on, I got sick of it one day and thought I could just cut it out but then I had this little clump of alfalfa hair sticking straight up in the middle of my head, right on my part, for MONTHS AND MONTHS. I tried everything to get it to lay down, gelled the hell out of it, but nothing worked.
I likey!I did the same thing in high school.I whacked it off with some old scissors we had. I did a pretty good job too. My mom almost shit when she came home from work that day .
Pat, your hair looks amazing. Great job. You saved yourself a lot of $$$$ doing it yourself. A Salon cut and style around would be at least 70.00 and up. Impressive!!!
Biz, once I slept with gum, when I was 6. I am 52 now. I went to school the next day with PB in my hair & a clump cut out by my mom. I was in line for recess and a little boy said to me "You're ugly"...think that didn't mess with my head for a while? Then in 6th grade, dumbass me washed my hair with bar soap. I couldn't even get a brush thru it the next day. Instaed of washing it out I started chopping it up so I could go to school. Gawd, 6th grade. I cannot believe I did that. 6th graders now I think(hope) know better. I got made fun of again. I once wore my grandmas dark brown(like me)curly 70's wig to school once in 8th grade. Ok, did I never learn my hair lessons? NOooo!!! Got laughed at by teachers even. I was too dumb to know what was so funny. I laugh my ass off now about it. I guess I was just being an individual. :( rox
Pat, if I had your hair I'd grow it out and sell it. I donated my hair to locks of love once but learned later that they sell most of the hair they receive so forget them.
People pay the most for your platinum blond hair... if you were wondering. Ha!
LOL Rox... I think all little girls "experiment" with their hair some. I know I did it more than once, several times before I was even 10 probably.
But the peanut butter? oh man..
When I was in highschool I put that sun in crap in my hair, but I didn't get exactly how to use it and I really wanted to pass it off as professionally done so I just dumped the whole damn bottle in my hair. Oh gosh, it was AWFUL. My hair was rusty yellow crappy against the remaining natural dark brown hair. And yet I still told people, except my closest friends, that I had paid to have it done. HA.
I don't have hair I can cut myself. I have very thick, wavy hair. Two giant waves in the front of my head. Your hair is gorgeous. So shiney and silky and smooth.! Lucky dog!!
AMAZING.... you cut it by yourself without a mirror.... omggggg if I took a scissor to my hair I'd look worse than Kate G. (don't want to sound bitchy... but I bet a layers would make it totally perfect...)

I love the new hair! The style works so good on you! I can't believe how evenly you cut it. Impressive!
You still got it! :)
You did a great job! I've cut my own hair many times, but I always have my husband readjust or trim the back for me. You go girl!
You did good ... it looks great!
Is there anything you can't do?
That looks great Pat! It looks professional.
It looks like its very swingy! Great job! I wish I had the nerve to chop off mine - but its like hanging onto the last of my youth.
My goodness ! It looks wonderful and you

LOL, no, I didn't even have a mirror, I just sat here watching old Bewitched reruns and "felt around." I just took my time and it came out okay.
It looks nice! How did you get the back straight by yourself??
What's crabbie got to do with it? He might blog it if I cut off my head.
Very beautiful Pat. You did a great job.
I just mentioned him & jarhead cuz they were
the only male readers I know on your blog. Kiki
Looks awesome!! I'm impressed too!!!

Wow, I could never do that by myself. It looks great!

Man did I get teased about that.
wow dd great job. I love it. want to come up here in pa and work on my hair?
I haven't decided about bangs yet.
AM, you look like a doll without a new hairdo.

Impressive!!!
The back needs some layers. I'll ask a client who's a stylist to clean it up a little. But, it looks alright.
I would NEVER pose in profile. At least not till I get a neck-lift. You look fab. I hate my neck!!!

Me likey your new cut!!! Looks well done!
Great job, looks hot! Did you leave it long enough to pull back in a pony tail?
I've had a bob for years, best part about it ... you look the same if you let it grow out. Don't have to go through that ugly stage.
It looks great Pat! Better than Kate's and you didn't have to spend $7000.00! You are so talented.
Great Job on the Bob. Now I want one. I'm going to have to grow out!

The troll seems to have lost it's shit because I cut my hair. Jesus, get a life, Allie cow.
Good God...you did that yourself?? That's freakin' amazing!!

Oh, gawd, never cut curly hair yourself! I had a cousin who tried that. Man, it looked like an afro.
I forgot, if you guys want your hair to grow, trim it on the new moon.
I love it!! Its so shiny and glamorous!
Beth
"WHERE YA FROM?. . .
YOU SEXY THANG,
(sexy thang, yew!)"
Your hair looks like silk!
And us cajun peeps know about
the new moon trick-- my grandmother
swore by it.
AMAZING.... you cut it by yourself without a mirror.... omggggg if I took a scissor to my hair I'd look worse than Kate G. (don't want to sound bitchy... but I bet a layers would make it totally perfect...)
It looks beautiful! Hair like yours, so smooth and shiny, is what occasionally makes me want to rip out my naturally curly hair.
You did that yourself? Is there anything you can't do, that rocks!!! You have great hair, but the rest of you is certainly not shot.
