It's a girl

We got more snow last night, yuk. Lissa was convinced we'd starve in a blizzard so she tore my cabinet apart. She found pudding, so I guess we'll be okay. The orphaned puppy is a girl. She's awfully sweet, but has a big woof. Mom saw Lissa carrying her in and ran over here and took her. She said "That's the last thing I need is another dog! What am I going to do with another dog around here?!" Then she picked up the pup and left. No one even asked her to take it..lol. Anyway, the pup is fine and where ever it ends up, it will be warm and spoiled. Lis had to run over there first thing this morning and play with it. The neighbor got in on it and she wants it too. Geez, people are fighting for dog custody, it almost makes me wish the cruel idiots had dumped two of them. I think it's part Great Dane, seriously. It's huge.

Pat, I will send you a pic later today of our dog that looked just like that as a pup when we adopted him. He is now 107 pounds of muscle that protects my every move.

Oh my. This dog is going to be big too. It can't be more than six weeks, it's barely got milk teeth, and look at the size!

That last picture is frame worthy! Too adorable for words, both the dog and the little lady!

Yeah, they both know they're cute...lol. I'd have to blur out moms back ground. Notice the cats tuna can on the floor? Geesh.

Wow, she is so big now! I think she just gets more beautiful with every pic you put up here. :)

OMG, They are so cute. You can just feel the, "love vibe" coming off Lissa! She is the sweetest little cupcake! Pup looks big but he's sending out that, "keeper vibe" Beautiful pic! It sounds like your mom was trying to be helpful! Good for her and you. May she make many more good gestures for this new year.

How cute Lissa is with that pup! I'd take her if I lived closer. Moose needs a friend.

Nina, naaa, the only thing the old lady gets on with is dogs and cats. They seems to like her and her endless supply of all white meat tuna. The rest of us know she's a .......lol.

Ava's Mom, it doesn't have long hair. It's short haired, shepard markings but, way to big to be all shepard.

Oh and duhhh forgive me for calling the doggie a boy!

My poor son lost his 14 year old german shpd a couple of months ago and is still devastated. They were best friends. Wish this beautiful pup could be adopted by him. He is looking and looking. They live in NH.

The bottom picture of the two little girls, pup and human, that is a picture to be saved. Beautiful.

Adorable pictures, Pat!
Lissa looks ecstatic to find pudding cups in the first one, and the second is so cute! She is a cutie all by herself, but loving on the puppy is just the sweetest picture ever.
The puppy is big, but some dogs are just really large for breed. Probably a mix, but who knows. She looks like Xena, our recently departed neighbor puppy, who was a shepherd mix. She was a sweetie.
Her littermate Griffey, who looks like a black lab, is the problem child. He is an escape artist, but a good-natured one. He is elderly, but still jumps over the six-foot chainlink and visits us, though not as often anymore. He never bothers the chickens or our dogs, doesn't damage anything. He just gets bored, and when he's done visiting, he rattles one of the gates with his nose, until one of us finds him, and takes him home.
Interesting that your mom came and took the puppy, all the while fussing about not needing another dog. Will your mom take good care of her?

Looks like my Shepherd when she was a pup. 23lbs at 9wks old. They are both so cute!!

Christina, the pup is in her bed right now. LOL. She's fine. I doubt she keeps her because she's too big for mom to handle, but, she'll find her a good home. If not, the dog can come back here when it's house trained. I am no good at house training dogs. My mom has a real talent for that though. Anyhow, we're all having fun with the puppy. It's already acting like a watch dog!

The thing is..puppies are easy to find good homes for. They're so cute. I'd rather keep my home open for the unadoptable. An older or maybe handicapped dog. Something that just can't find a home. You know?

I think it is great that you got the little fella out of the cold and snow.
Lissa looks so cute..she is checking out her food pantry, lol!

Dirty Disher said...

Oh, she was so funny, searching for snacks. I told her if it didn't have to be cooked she could have whatever she found. Geez, I never know what's in there. She found crackers and cookies and pudding and fruit bars and pop tarts. She had a junk food picnic at midnight. But, she did clean it all up..eventually.

That picture of Lis and the puppy is just too cute. She looks like she could not be any happier.

OT - I'm getting bombarded with snow. Got about 8" on Monday, it's stayed cold so it didn't melt. Yesterday it started snowing big time lake effect. At least another 8". Today the wind picked up and the snow kept falling (10+"). I'm going to owe my plow guy a fortune by the time this is done. Roads must be really bad. Just saw a crawler on the TV (it was 9:00 pm), every school district in the county is already calling for a two hour delay tomorrow. This must be a first. Normally they don't call it until 5 or 6 in the morning. It's going to be fun driving to work tomorrow. grrrr

Miss Tia---I am so sorry for the loss of your neighbor!!
It's so sad to lose someone so young, especially when there are young children. I'm sending good thoughts and prayers for both the young mom and the children she left behind.
