I don't think any other show has opened up the dialog like Teen Mom, MTV's follow up to 16 And Pregnant. Man, Caitlynn and Tyler made the right decision for them, adoption, but, their stupid redneck parents won't get off their backs about it. Turns out his big mouthed redneck dad married her hillbilly mom and moved away. I can't tell you how disturbed the parents make me. What in hell is wrong with people?? "Y'all shoulda done brung home yer own flesh an blood to this here trailer house!" Yeah, right. Makes me wish I lived on an estate with tons of money so I could tell Caitlynn and Tyler to live in my guest house, go to school and be teenagers. They seem like such nice kids.*
The other girls turned out to be pretty good mom's though, but, troubled lives. Except Farrah. That Farrah is a puke. Would it kill her to stay home one night a week? Seriously, when does she even see that baby? Her mom is a cunty cunt, but, she didn't give birth to Sophia and she's raising her. I wish MTV would have included at least one girl who wasn't white and one who chose abortion too, but, it's pretty interesting. It's hard not to watch. The first season is HERE, if you haven't seen it. But, I know there are people on here who watch it.

I agree, I love Caitlynn and Tyler! I don't know how those kids turned out so well and mature considering her mom and his dad. Fucking redneck assholes. When the step-dad(Tyler's Dad) ridicules her constantly for making the smart compassionate choice for her child I want to jump through the screen and knock what teeth he has left out!

Caitlyn and Tyler are the most normal kids on the show. How about when the TPT father said all you needed was love to raise a child. Brilliant advice.

Amber, I think that's her name, is an annoying one. She seems to just sit around all day in a bed or on the couch. I don't like her that much! She watches the kid, but yeah, she's annoying!
Maci seems to care for Bentley, although when she says his name it is fingernails on a chalkboard for me. Her boyfriend/fiance, is a loser!
I love Caitlynn and Tyler. I agree that they seem normal. They are young but I hope they can pull through in the end because they seem like they really care for each other! Tyler actually takes the time to listen to Caitlynn and she seems to resepct him. A good couple.

Anyway, I've heard about these two and that their parents are rednecks who hassle them about giving up their baby. I think it is incredibly mean to hassle someone for a difficult choice like that.

I haven't watched all these shows, but I did watch quite a few of them. I can't stand Farrah and I wish her parents would do something about her. The fat couple is annoying because all she does is sit around all day and whine about being depressed. It is a good show for teenagers to see what parenthood is really like. Caitlynn and Tyler made the best choice though. No teenagers are ready to be parents. I wish MTV would show a couple/girl who decided to get an abortion. It would provide a different perspective.
I will say though when Farrah brought that model home I was so irritated with her mother. She must have scared the crap out of him. lol "Would you like to come to church with us?" Right, like that helped your daughter.

I think Maci seems to be a good Mom but her boyfriend is a total POS. Amber is a whiny spoiled lazy brat. When she attacked Gary her baby was actually in the room! Way to be a role model. I just read that the father of Farrah's baby died in wreck while driving drunk. His friend also died in the crash, and it was the friends' mother who supplied the vodka that they got drunk on, she went to jail and had to pay a fine. Sad. I hope Farrah allows Sophia to have a relationship with her paternal grandparents. I have a feeling they have been cut off. Anyone know about that?

I really like this show and am glad that MTV has at least one decent thing for young adults to watch and hopefully learn from. They don't glamorize teen parenting and keep it real.

Hi Nissa, I'm ok. Thanks for asking. I'm not in any danger here so I'm still trying to find a job and keeping to myself. The steroid thing I think made people think violence. He's not violent. He just freakin complains and criticizes and is grouchy 90 percent of the time.He has major issues that he won't get help for. I'm sticking it out for now, taking care of my kids, ignoring him and trying to get myself together. I am definitely not in any danger. Promise! It's just hard .My kids are 18, 12 and 9.My 2 youngest need me so much. I'm the stable normal parent so they turn to me for everything. Exhausting mentally sometimes but it's not their fault. They are the best kids I could've ever asked for. I'll keep it together for them.

Catelynn and Tyler really got ripped off in the parent pool. Amber is massively Katelike. Maci is cool though if she dumps the deadwood which is her boyfriend. Farrah....just gag me. I hope all the babies grow up healthy and happy.

Caitlynn and Tyler. The ones I would love to sit down and talk to. Being adopted myself. I think I could help a little. One thing I have to say. It had to take more guts to give a child away than to have a child. Her and Tyler did the best thing they new. Plus the environment with the step dad tyler dad etc.. Not good for a child. I hope that someone is taking care of caitlynn and tyler after this show. I hope they have saved their $$$ they have made. Maybe even go to college. Than move away and start a new family. I would hate to see stuck in the same rut as their parents and such.
Abortion is a very heavy subject. Its even still very tabo on tv. I remember seeing it on Degrassi High. Even though in america they wouldnt show the whole thing. Its a tv show. Not real life. But it showed how hard it is to have a abortion and that it take long while to get over the feelings and pain.

i just want to defend the name bentley for a second - not because of the car though. but my mother in law's maiden name is bentley. when i got married i kept my name, and i find it tragic that so many family names are lost. i've considered the name bentley for any future baby boys i might help make...
