Pretty card, huu? That's not my deck, but, it's pretty. I have to talk about work a little today because of something that happened yesterday. This lady came in, she claimed she's been in before a long time ago. I couldn't place her, which is odd, but, anyway..she was so freekin' intense. She had that look in her eye, no smile, no joking around, she even leaned into my face across the table, searching my eyes for the truth. She was so intense about it she was trembling. Can you picture it? It's not hard to read people like that, they're open, but, it isn't fun.*
She's madly in love with some guy she's been hanging out and hooking up with for a couple of months. Her heart was shattered because he told her they can't continue. I told her to listen to him, to move on. He was telling her the truth. His truth. She just kept going on and on about it and finally I asked her "Well, did he give you a reason?" And she says, yes, and you didn't get it. He's leaving, moving away for his job." I looked at the cards and looked at her (easy to do, since she was right on my face) and said, I don't see it. She insisted it was true, so I told her to shuffle again..I'd start over based on that info. Nope. No travel cards, no wheel, no minor travel cards, no change of roofline cards when we talked about him.

This lady was so crazy in love with this dude, she made me start a third reading and I did it. I want to please clients, but, come on. Still the same results and starting to feel really bad for this guy I'd never met. She asked if he was a bad man or a liar and the answer was no, he's a decent guy and in general, not a liar...but. Big but. I found out he lives a few towns over from her, so she won't run into him everyday unless she's looking for him. The whole situation was pretty clear.

I tried telling her that I can not fix her relationship and I'm a Tarot reader, that's all. I get what I get. Finally I asked her, kindly, where did he take you on your last date? She said he'd come over to her house late at night, because he's so tired from work all the time. It's always like that..he's just too tired to take her out. I asked her, what's that tell you?

I don't like being mean to people. I ended the reading with the truth, as I see it, and said "He is not moving. He's not going anywhere, he's not traveling." She jumped up all happy and ran out and told her friend he's staying here with her. The friend looked at me and the look on my face must have told it all. My mouth was hanging open. Man, what would you say if I told you these things? What would you think? Some people never hear what you say because they don't want to. And I know she'll be back claiming, but, you said! No I didn't. Some people should just listen to their friends and save their money.

First thing that came to mind when she said that he never takes her anywhere, is "wife". Typical!
I am laughing at Tonya's response - that is exactly what I was thinking.
Some people only hear what they want to. I hope she relates the whole reading to her friend and her friend slaps some sense into her. Hopefully she will listen.
And if he isn't married he sure is living with someone.

Pat, she was a classic example of someone that refuses to accept what she doesn't want to hear, and twists what they do hear into something that makes them feel better - in the short run anyway.
Was there another shop close enough for her to go to? If so I am sure that she hightailed it there for a "second" opinion. They always do. They will keep going for reader to reader until they hear what they want to or something that can be further misconstrued by themselves for their favor.
It is so frustrating because they clearly prolong their own pain, but perhaps that is one of the lessons that they are learning and must go through to get there - learning their true self worth and that they are deserving of true love, and not sloppy seconds or thirds via accepting the object of their affection "coming over late at night because he/she is too tired from work to go out and be seen with their 'lover'/girl/boy friend."
First thought that popped into my noggin is this female has "stalker" written all over her.

The guy is either married or is just trying to get rid of her by saying he's leaving.

My husband was a total player before we got together. I knew that b/c we were friends before we are "us". Sometimes guys just want a booty call & they don't think the girl is good enough /cute enough to show there friends. Once they meet someone that is up to snuff, the botty call is over.
