Let me tell you my opinion on the whole Whitney in Australia debacle...pop aint rock and roll and they do not have the same loyalty from their fans. Jim Morrison could do half a song and pass out face first on stage and no one asked for their money back. I loved Janis Joplin but, if you claim to understand a fucking word she said on stage, you're probably the only one who didn't inhale. Look at Ozzy, for cripes sake! He accidentally bit a bat in two and no one on Earth can decipher his ramblings, yet he still packs the house with happy prince's of darkness. So why are Whitney Houston fans such assholes?*
She put on a sparkly dress and kept herself upright for more than an hour. WTF more do they want? Yeah, I'm serious. If they worship a crack head gay icon who lets her ex remove a doody bubble and talk about it on camera, and her most famous song was stolen from Dolly Parton, and her catch phrases are "crack is wack" and "KISS MY ASS!"...exactly what is it they expect of her? Shouldn't just seeing her in person be enough? Get a grip Australia..she's YOUR idol. Let's face it, Aussies are not known for their sobriety. Ya sanctimonious fucks..she's Whitney Friggin' Houston! Suck it up.

and that interview where she denied doing drugs and said that if someone claimed she did 'em to show the receipts!! like a drug dealer gives receipts!!!
i never liked whitney.....
bob dylan is another one whom you can't really understand what he's mumbling about....but people still go see him....
I read an article about that concert and the follow-up comments from people who attended.
They sounded pissed because they attended a concert given by a woman who's famous for her singing - and she didn't deliver.
Maybe she was ill, maybe she just couldn't be bothered.
Whatever the reason, she should have just cancelled the show and returned the money.
I understand the pro-Whitney defense, but the days of accepting bad behavior from concert headliners is pretty much over - at least here in the States.
You pay your bucks - you expect to get the product you bought.
Whitney should be overly sensitive to the fact that people are skeptical of a "come-back" from her - she needed to provide MORE show, not less.
Her voice has changed, and not for the better - but her DIVA crown is still firmly attached to her noggin.
the aussies were recently bitching about britney spears lip synching too! like they think she can sing?
LOL..I know. Right?
you forgot my fav "HELL TO THE NO!"
omg omg omg did I really just hear that Kate Gosselin is going to be on Dancing with the Stars? Seriously???
Hi Miss Tia,
I think Bob Dylan is a musician's musician. He influenced everyone from The band to the Rolling Stones and Willie Nelson, David Allan Coe.
His "Like a Rolling Stone" and Led Zeppelin's "When the levee breaks" are always on my playlists. And The Who's "The seeker" was our theme song in Iraq.
Anyone paying more than US$20.00 to see Madonna or Britney are paying too much money. They are hacks.
Jarhead
Oh yeah! and Whitney's Star Spangled Banner is my favorite rendition.
Jarhead
jarhead---i really like the who!
What is a doody bubble ???
A stuck turd, from constipation. Bobby pulled one out for Whitney. she said "that's love baby, black love."
lol..I was gonna ask what a doody bubble was but someone beat me to it. That is nasty!! I will never look at Whitney Huston the same way again!
Jarhead, I remember one of my friends who are on FB said about The Who's performance at the superbowl that they should get better people next time. I had to comment and said that even though they're ancient and I don't really listen to them, they ARE The Who after all! Of course she had no answer to that.... she's into shit like the pussycat dolls....
Just the same as other oldies. Seems that quality music is a thing of the past...
I think the old DD is back! That was a very good rant you had going there! You must be feeling better.
Whitney gives me the dry heaves. I put her on the same scale as Madonna. I do like her music from her hey-day, but I think her day is long gone. If she has to put that much effort into singing, she needs to stop before she hurts herself.
And if you don't demand a receipt from your illegal drug dealer, how in hell will you be able to claim them on your taxes? You have to have a head for business if you're going to do drugs!!!
BJ lol at your post. :-)) Kiki
DD Dolly Parton is a talented smart woman
she has made a fortune from the rights to
her song on loan to Whitney. Kiki :)
Jarhead yes her version is just beautiful.
I dig Bob Dylan but are you familiar with the
poet Mr. Leonard Cohen ? Up here in Canada
"everybody knows" him. ;) Kiki
&
How dumb are those Aussies WTF do they
have sunstroke on their brains. You get what
you pay for. Come onnnn ! Really ?! Kiki : /
Fug, Kate is going to infect our tv sets again by dancing.
She will be away from the kids for months! At least they will get a much needed break from her.
I can't defend Whitney here. I think it's disgusting to charge good money from your fans when you know you are strung out on crack and will give a shitty performance. She's a greedy bitch! Luckily for me I will never have to waste my money on her since I never liked her music in the first place.
yes its funny but australians don't take shit from anyone, including celebrity icons. i guess australians feel celebrities have to earn their icon status when they come here to perform, otherwise they should just stay away. australians do suffer from 'tall poppy syndrome' so when a tall poppy comes to town and rips aussies off they get pissed and tear them off their pedstals, its a well known fact. i don't know what it is, perhaps the isloation insulates australians from being lead into thinking shitty performances and bad behaviour from overseas icons is acceptable. some icons have actually ended their lives during or immediately after visits to australia. check it out i think that even judy garland ended her life here or shortly afterwards (she still has the reputation for being the most difficult performer to have set foot on our shores). australians actually ran frank sinatra out of the country because he was so rude, and he RAN like a frightened bunny, yet he was such a tough mafia type guy in his own territory. perhaps our geographical isolation prevents australians from revering celebrities in the same way that other countries do. but many talented artists, bob dylan, included are worshipped by australians and greatly welcomed to this country. people like bob dylan are generous entertainers and thats probably what australians like and appreciate. anyone who trades on their past glory and demands shitloads of money for a poor performance should probably stay out of australia because anyone who does their homework should know by now that australians are a tough audience who don't take shit. as for brittney, her fans stood by here here in australia, it was people who weren't her fans that attended her concerts who weren't impressed. down under is clearly uncharitable and hostile towards fallen idols. i guess its sad but australians can be hard core.
Lia, I was kidding.
good on you dirty!!! you got me there, lately i was thinking... what the FUCK? australian, american, cuban, ethopian, ANYTHING...... anyone from any country who paid mega dollars to see a really good singer would be pissed if they had to put up with that whitney sort of bullshit. we ARE all the same.
