Heidi sent me this sign of Spring in her yard, it's a Bleeding Heart. One of my favorite flowers and a traditional Spring sight here, this one is unusual. It's all white. Isn't that pretty? Thanks, Heidi...now I have to look for one of those at the nursery.

I wish I lived closer to you Pat. I would dig you up one to transplant in your yard.
I found it in the garden center. There are yellow ones also.
I should take a pic of those too.
I also have the traditional ones.
That's beautiful...I don't think I've seen a white one before. I've seen mostly the pink w/the purple on them. I got a gift cert. to a local nursery this wk. for Admin. wk, I'm gonna get me one of those! Love it!
Beautiful plant. Lucky you Linda.
My lame ass Boss had me order flowers for his Admin...never said "and get something for yourself". What a jerk.
Vicki...I would have to agree on that. He is a little dense!
If you could afford it, I would send some flowers to myself--no card. If he would ask, I would say I assumed they were from him for a job well done. When he says no---just look at him and say, "Well, I guess someone out there appreciates me!"
A few years back my mother in law gave me a bleeding heart vine and a blood orange tree....do you think she was trying to tell me something??

liz--as long as it's not poison hemlock or nightshade.....
I have a tiered rock garden and on the upper level I planted some pink bleeding hearts years ago and they did very well and are huge now. Then last summer out of nowhere a white one appeared on the lower level right under the big pink one. I know they can start from seed but I never knew pink could produce white! Gardening is such fun!
lol Miss Tia...
well she did once say she'd like to dance on my grave...

They are so easy to grow and they take abuse well. When they get big, I dig them up and separate. It has been raining so I have not gotten to the area where the yellow one is blooming. So here is an online pic for now and I will trudge back there and get a pic today.
