Get well, Brett

I was worried about Bret Michaels when he went in for that appendectomy, because I know he has some health issues. I've been a fan of his since he started reality TV and lately I've followed him on Celebrity Apprentice. Now I read he has a brain hemorrhage after his surgery and is in critical condition. Bret does a lot of charity work for the national Diabetes Foundation and he's just an all around nice guy. Get well, Bret.

I love watching Brett. He has a way of making himself seem normal and somewhat grounded even around all those crazy women on Rock of Love. Wishing him a speedy recovery!

I was glad to read that he was doing better...I didn't realize that you could survive a brain hemorrhage like that...sometimes it's good to be wrong :)

That's the type my Dad had. Arachnoid brain hemorrhage.

He complained of severe headache and an hour later collapsed into a coma that lasted for six days. He woke up when a nurse walked in the room with a cup of coffee in her hand. His left side was paralyzed and is still so more than 20 years later. Regained his speech but his mind is not quite as sharp.

My Mom has stood next to him the entire time; we all admire that very much because he's a pain in the ass.

I like Brett and i think he's genuinely a nice person, plus his music got more guys laid than Titanic (the movie).

I read that 70% off people who suffer this kind of bleed don't make it and the pain is terrible. I really hope Bret beats the odds.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Kiki :)

I've been worried about him, too. It's not fair that some folks have healthy bodies and can't value that, and others have health issues and struggle to stay alive, and are good people to boot. I just don't understand it.
Best wishes for a full recovery, Brett.

I've been following Celeb Apprentice this season and was really taken at how nice Brett appears to be, but kind of concerned watching his lack of control dealing with his diabetes.

Having surgery for his appendix and follow-up at a diabetic facility must have meant that his dr. was very concerned about diabetic complications, and rightfully so.

He was most likely put on heparin or coumadin following surgery to avoid clotting and it probably triggered the stem bleed - it'll be a miracle if he escapes the serious ramifications of this type of trauma.

He's a good guy - hope he pulls through.

My nephew is a poorly controlled diabetic also. He will be 20, I think, this summer. He rarely tested the way he was supposed to, resisted all attempts at caring for himself properly. I have worried about the ramifications for him, as well. He was diagnosed around the age of seven.

I agree. It sounds like he is doing better today but the next 48 hours are critical. He is talking and awake now at least. Godspeed Bret!

Love Bret! Still love his 80's songs;they remind me of high school when life was so carefree. I love looking at him too! I hope he makes a full recovery. Hearing this news definitely made me sad.

I'm hoping Brett a lot of luck! As most of you know, diabetes can really mess up recovery.

Thank you Can't see!

She is absolutely a rock. No doubt that people are born with a calling or whatever you want to call it. She's a healer, caretaker, mystic and unconditional giver to a fault.

Not the best of cooks, but decent baker and excellent gardener.

She learned French and English in boarding schools in Canada when she was little, and Spanish in Spain where she grew up from the time she was 12. So she speaks with unnatural and funny accents no matter what language she speaks!.

Love you Mutti!

I really feel badly that this happened to him. I never knew much about him until Celebrity Apprentice and have become a big fan. He seems to be very geniune and very thoughtful and down to earth. I'm pulling for him - wow, he is young too.

With all his health issues, he certainly didnt care for himself very well when he was younger. Thats probably coming back to haunt him now. We saw him w/Poison last summer , they opened for Def Leppard. Poison fans are the NASCAR fans of Rock! Drinkin' & fightin' & shovin' their tattooed women into chick fights at concerts. Me & my daughter were rammed during a pretty intense mosh pit near us at that concert during Poison set. They are good but their fans are crazy! I couldnt take my eyes off Brett. Dayum, he knows how to wear a pair of jeans!!! I have been monitioring this since he had his surgery last week too and he came out with a quote saying he almost died! He wasn't joking or being dramatic. This isn't his 1st brush with death. I hope they find the bleeding and get him back to good health. He was set to tour by himself, with Rob Zombie & 38 Special this summer. I am guessing that wont happen. Get well Brett. xoxo
