Has anyone been following the new drama? It's in your face all the time and I finally read about it. Jon wants custody of the kids because he says DWTS makes Kate an absentee parent. Radar reported that his child support payments are $22 grand a month. How can some shlub who doesn't even have a job, and hasn't had one in ages, pay that much? And why would anyone think it takes that much to raise those kids? I think it's retarded and not even realistic. There is no job he can take that will pay him that much. So, it's clear why he wants custody. But, his claims are stupid too. How does DWTS make her any more of an absent parent than she's always been? I never thought I'd defend her bitchy ass, but, she has a perfect right to pursue other interests.*
Kate's lawyer says he doesn't even know where Jon lives, that he never filed his address. Radar says he's living with his brother because he's broke. They had the perfect solution when Jon was living in the apartment over the garage, but, Kate kicked him out. And who'd want his whore parade over the garage where the kids see it? And why does she still have to live in a mansion with body guards and a star lifestyle? They're both nuts. Do you think either one of them has any money left?

Get ready for a gosselin shit storm again. 3 months im predicting this storm will go on. Since either of them cant STFU about their life, $$$$, and children. Im so sick and tired of hearing about $$$$$$$ with Kate. She is already getting 200,000 for DWTS. Than Jons 20,000 payments. Next week the book comes out. ( Oddly I see her leaving the show since the book comes out next week.) Than she has all the interviews she has been doing. Plus other countless things they have done to get $$$$. I dont think anyone is building a nest egg. Its greed, greed, greed all the way.
Personally I would downsize my life. If I was in their shoes. That house, cars, vacations, plane trips, organic food and etc. Is not for the kids. Its all Kate.
They should of invested 50 percent of the makings of the show. Added on to the old house. Home schooled the children if they were afraid of " P people and mobs. Fire all the helpers. Start living simple. But noooo that little fame bug hit their butts and made them into fame monsters.
I think the 20,000 coincides with the amount he might still be being paid by TLC.
Have you read the excerpts frome the new book? Kate analyzes and writes about each child's trauma resulting from the divorce. Colin, evidently has suffered the most. Who does this? How insensitive! Who, other than Kate, would put their children's most personal insecurities in a book for all the world to read? The publishers of the book are just as guilty. Those children need an attorney or someone to look out for them. Kate should be sued over this. This "book" should not be distributed, someone should legally have it stopped.
This, just for an almighty dollar, just to be able to continue an over-the-top lifestyle.
Yeah, I read some of the new book. I read parts where she apologized to one boy for taking his father away. It's so....shockingly stupid. Just because you divorce doesn't mean kids lose a parent. She's an asshole.
I dont want to read about some child having a horrible moment with this divorce. I dont want to read how she apologize to them in a Book no less. About how she and jon have scard them. Or how she is going to try to be both parents when they need her. WHY?????? write it all in a book. This is a personal matter. This is not a story or literature.

was put into an escrow acct by the divorce

On my way to work, so I'll be brief, but as far as her working as a nurse, I think she was pretty-much specialized, and there probably aren't that many jobs available. In nursing, you have to renew your license every few years, and have to have logged in a certain number of hours in some type of nursing field in order to renew. Some states require continuing education credits, as well. I would bet that she left her license behind a long time ago.

Jon put up with her crap for almost ten years and yet has no place of his own to live. That's a shame. He deserves to see those kids just as much as she does. He should not have gotten "involved" with other women so soon, but after living with someone who constantly degraded you, I guess he needed to feel wanted. I am not defending Jon by any means, but Kate is far from the great parent she claims to be. Jon might as well stop taking her back to court though because she will always have the best lawyers TLC can buy.

marie osmond and pam anderson have good relationships with their ex's and their kids can be with the other parent when they are away....big difference with kate, as she is limiting jon's access to the kids...

Kart is rolling in the dough. Jon's new lawyer announced yesterday that TLC pays Kart $100,000/month and that they pay JOn $5000/month. He has been paying $21,000 monthly for child support.Kart recieved a 1 million dollar advance from her Christian publisher, Zondervan for the childrens letter book. That does not count the speaking engagements at women's expo's and all of the appearances on The View and everywhere else.
The court documents were interesting. Since they had both agreed that the kids would stay put and they would move, Jon was allowed to stay in the house during his custody time and when it was not his custody time he was allowed to stay above the garage. Kart was in total control of when and for how long Jon was allowed to see the children and she would notify him on a weekly basis if he would be allowed to see his children. Why he ever agreed to that is beyond me. He tried to get more time with the kids so that when Kart is gone more days in a month than she is home, that they would not be with babysitters, when instead they could be with their father, but Kart nixed that before filming for DWTS filming even began. He has attempting to get more time with his kids and she refuses. I believe that he had no choice but to take the bitch to court. I agree with Kiki-the pictures over the last 9 months tell the story of who the kids view as the more nurturing parent. Jon deserves to have his support payments modified and equal time with his children. IMO, it's in the kids best interest. And let Kart stop all the lies about she is the only one supporting the children. In several interviews and on The View she left the distinct impression that Jon wasn't paying and was a dead beat dad. I can't stand her!

The above is on the court document over at TMZ where anyone can have a look. I took it as saying that kate getting paid by TLC is dependent on Jon not working for anyone other than TLC, which is just messed up, because had he gotten a job & kate not been paid, Jon would have been vilified again, this time for taking money away from his kids. It's sick. They seem to be pulling out all the stops to make kate look like a single mom.
So Jon is seen a few times at the bus stop picking up his kids so he is the better parent? So Kate is seen picking up the kids a few times and shopping with them at Target or nail salons and she is the better parent? 5 pictures in the last 7 months and that is enough for you people to judge? A man or a woman standing at a bus stop is proof of what? What happens next? When they get into the car? When they get home? Who is doing homework, or cooking or bathing or getting up early and cooking breakfast? Jon or Kate? What no pictures to judge on? No one can make a decision based on a picture or two at a bus stop. Are you people serious?
@Bayou Jane, if I went into a hospital & got kate as my nurse I'd have a record recovery time because I'd be out of there like a shot. Just thinking of the callousness that woman would possibly administer a needle with or draw blood makes me squirm. Being ill & having to put up with that nightmare, that's something no one should have to do. If they could lock her in an office somewhere, seeing to the paperwork with minimal human interaction, that'd be good.
@DD, yes about taking the boy's father away, I keep reading bits & pieces & it's like kate's talking about Jon in the context of being dead, rather than having divorced her. She certainly seems to be trying to cut him out of the kids lives like he's dead. All that's going to do is make them even more happier when they do get to see Jon & when they get older they will probably resent her for keeping him away.
If she had to write this stuff down then put it in a letter & give it to them at a certain age. Don't publish it so everyone knows their private pain. High school is not going to be fun for these kids because kate never stops putting their life out there & the other kids are going to have so much ammo. They're going to need a therapist on speed dial.
@Kiki, that's what I keep saying, I'm waiting to see Mady's tell all book, then we'll find out more of what was going on, because you just know she's going to write it. I also agree with the dependency & the suicide too. Those kids need help. It's a good thing they were born physically healthy because they will need all the emotional help they can get.
