Beth sent these beautiful photos of her visit to a Lavender farm in Va. She uses the Lavender to make sachets. I love that idea and I have never seen a Lavender farm! How pretty.
I planted some this year. i never had luck with it before. it usually can die if you have a harsh winter. i lost many a large crop of it and just gave up. i only bought one plant this year..just to see if it survives.
The lavender blooms in June. I bought a gallon of dried lavender. It's heavenly. Quick and easy to make sachets-chose coordinating fabrics at quilting store. Sew coordinating fabrics that I cute with pinking sheers on 3 sides (inside out), turn the fabric right side out and tie with ribbon. Big hit. Made a few eye pillows with lavender...so nice with all the pollen, refreshing and soothes the sinuses.
