Nope

I think it's called April Fool's because the first of April looks like this. and it's 82 degrees out there and everyone's out in thier short shorts with tits a floppin' in halter tops and flip flops on and if I had balls, I wouldn't have balls because I would have sweated them off..but, as soon as you try and plant something it's going to bend you over a fence and have at you with no lube. Pissing on everything again with ice and snow. I think that's why April is Fools month, though I'm not sure. I'll have to look that up. Anyhow, I know that's what it's going to do. So, I am not fallin' for it.

Something better bloom good soon, because if I have to look at my shitty header pic very much longer I might have to go steal something. Two lousy daffodils? Really? And they were supposed to be pink.

I think April tries to lure people into a false sense of security so they'll plant something because they're just so sick of the sight of snow & mud, then BAM, oh look, just one more snowfall or freezing rain. It's like Nature's being a tease.

It is nicer here but I cannot plant anything yet anyhoo. I live in the area of the northeast that got all that flooding this week. We are okay in my city. we have water in our basement but we have a sump pump. it could have been sooo much worse.
so no planting because the ground is way too saturated. i want to get my cold crops started soon. hopefully next week.

Our daffodils are on their way out, the crocus are gone, but the hyacinths and grape hyacinths are in full bloom. I have a few different-looking late blooming daffodils and narcissus that are blooming as well. The lilacs are starting to bud out their blooms, and the grass is too high in the yard, but we had rain and a little hail yesterday, so it will be awhile before we can mow it.
The peas and sweet peas are showing some good growth, but I may still have to resow a few areas. I can't wait to get my dirt tilled, but the tiller has a rusted part (some kind of pin, I think) so it needs some work.
My MIL gave us an older Mercedes-Benz a few weeks ago, so my husband has a new toy to play with, and nothing else is getting done. I hate it when she does this. That's all it takes, and he is totally immersed in his new plaything. He spends more time in U-Pull-It junkyards, and perusing the listings for parts, and car message boards, than anything else. It's really frustrating. We have too many things to do around here to spend so much time on something that isn't necessary.

Daffodils out here, 84 deg. today and I'm planting my garden this weekend I think. I have the air conditioning on.....I think tax day (15th) is the safe planting time here in NC. My oldest dtr. turns 41 on Apr 7th! Happy Birthday Miss Tia and Bayaou Jane!

oh its was so nice out yesterday. High 77's I loved it. We got to be outside after work and eat on the porch. I would love it to stay this way. Just wish my sinus cold would go the hell away. Oh my head is so stuffy and I cant take anything.

April is the snowiest month in Colorado. Last Wednesday we got close to foot of snow. Next day was 70 an it all melted. Yesterday was thunder with rain but still warm. I never get faked out by mother nature anymore. Nothing gets planted until Mothers Day.

It's a beau-ti-ful day in the nei-bor-hood! We have a windstorm (supposed to be up to 80 mph gusts at the coast) and hail earlier, as well as hard rain, patches of sun, etc. It's amazing when I can run through all those just on the way home from work (about 4-5 minutes away).
I love the variety we get.

Today in Portland Oregon we had rain, wind, bright beautiful sun, hail, snow?, maybe some thunder/lightning...and this happened all in the space of an hour. It made for a seriously epic dog walk. April is the month for schizophrenic weather.

Meanwhile, the birds are singing like crazy, starting at 5a.m., there are many blooming trees and flowers, and I triumphed over the ants on my hummingbird feeders. Hurrah!

Well you can change your header anyway because it has been officially Spring on the calendar for a few weeks.
