Unusual usual

I went to the nursery to find Rosemary yesterday and they only had 6 plants left. I bought 3 of them. I only had a $20 with me or I would have gotten all of them. On the way out, I saw these unusual colored Petunias. Aren't they different? Pale yellow and magentas and pinks. I put them in with the Rosemary in the pots by the door. I planted the other Rosemary in the herb bed. I hope I can get some more of it this weekend because I love it. Man, plants sure cost more than they used to and I'm glad this is about all I need. I'll buy a few tomato plants, but, everything else I need is coming up from saved seeds. Well, I will buy anything different..maybe something will catch my eye like these Petunia's did.

Happy flowers. My perienials are all up & busting all over, no blooms yet. I need to fill my pots tho. DD, keep those damn wild cats outta that rosemary! They will destroy it and eat it all! I love to plant thyme. It smells wonderful. Mine came back for a few years then just stopped. I need more. Just brushing past it was enchanting to breathe. Fairie magic!!!!

Glad to hear you're planting and finding new things to put in your garden. I've planted a lot of seeds but the weeds are growing faster than I can pull them out. My son decided he was going to plant "the" garden this year. He has 6 tomato plants, 6 bell pepper plants, 1 strawberry plant and 3 basil plants. All of these went into a row about 6 ft. long!! Now, he has helped plant a real garden with his great uncle before, so he should know better. I have been moving them a little at a time. He is so proud of his garden. The plants are growing well, but are still to close together! My son is finally growing up!

Love those petunias, great colors! My local Lowe's has 6 packs for 1.50. Not a bad price. Don't know if you have one close, probably not, huh?

This is off the subject, but I need to know. I googled Rielle Hunter to see about her past. I saw that she was involved with the horse insurance scam that was going on in the 70's. Also Helena Bracht's (the candyman's wife) murder had something to do with it.
It's in the back of my mind and I remember bits and pieces about what happened. Anyone remembers this? And what did Rielle have to do with it?

Oh DD, those are so pretty, I've never seen petunias like that, with the soft butter yellow & another colour. They're attention grabbing & so cheery.

Helena Bracht should be Helen Brach. Still curious!
Sorry!

I saw these exact same flowers at the store when we were getting our plants, they are very pretty and different in person. Funny that you have the same ones.

what lovely colors! petunias are so cheerful! and i love to cook with rosemary..one of my favorite herbs. when i lived in Patzcuaro i had big rosemary bushes all over hte garden, planted decades before by another herb lover.

saw a program about the Brach candy heiress (widow) who was scammed by a charming mafia employed con man into buying naqs sold as racehorses. she finally caught on, but told the conman she was calling in the FBI just before a trip to the spa. The mafia kidnapped her and killed her to protect their scam. the con man went to jail, but i don't know if the ever caught the hit men. sad story.
on CNN (after the Oprah interview)a commentator made the point that Reille is not the "sharpest tool in the shed" as well as being "several sandwiches short of a picnic". I quote. no telling what the lame brain bimbo has been up to....

That's pretty bad when someone calls you stupid on national TV.
She must really be a prize.

OMG, DD I just went to my local Lowes (4th trip this wk) and I asked the young girl checking me out if she'd mention to the manager of the garden center, that they have a lousy selection of flowers this year. Even my local nursery, doesn't have the size plants I want. They both are carrying more of the large pots of flowers, and I like the little 6 packs, so tuck in all kinds of different colors and flowers in my pots. Lowes said she'd gotten a no. of complaints this year! IF they'd had a petunia that looked like yours, I would have gotten some. Just the same old colors.

BJ, sorry, I've never heard of the horse scams you mentioned. Did you see Oprah Thur. when she interviewed Reille here in Charlotte? I have ridden by her house several times, way before she lived there.
