An Oakwood Va. teacher has been suspended and put on leave (on fucking leave?) for handing out fetus dolls with anti abortion propaganda attached to her 4th grade students.*
Doh, it's illegal to brainwash other people's children, you idiot. Maybe she should have given them first trimester dolls, which would be a big blob of cells glued together. When will these people get a clue that we will not be bullied into thinking just like them?

what the fuck?!?!?!?
she needs to be fired....
you know those christian freaks will rally around the teacher and palin will go flocking to her....
yea, my babies both came out fully clotheed & in hats too. Pink for my daughter & blue for my son. Thats exactly how it works! Wow!!! And to think this teacher thot of giving her students dolls to play with to prove babies are born in pink or blue clothes. This totally reminds me of when I was 8 & we attended the Mormon Church in West Lafayette, IN. Kids have a class, kind of like Catholic catikysm(sp)it's called "Primary". Anyways, one of the kids asked why black people are not allowed to go there (they can now) so the teacher said "because if you are bad in heaven you will be born black, if you are good in heaven you will be born white". She actually told an entire class that! I will never forget it. We stopped going there at one time or another for a while then stopped totally. Thank gawd! But yea, bad idea to impose strong beliefs on little minds, we don't forget when we grow up! Good or bad, right or wrong. It's still in our minds.

jesus christ, I have no words.
Though I don't agree with this..I also don't agree with teaching children about abortion in school. I know this will not make sense but I am pro-choice for all women....personally for myself I am pro-life and that is something I am trying to instill in my children in private at home.. I don't need them going to school and being taught that abortion is ok....It should ALL be left out of the schools period dot!
Don't give it to a Chinaman, he'll try to eat it.
Pro-Choice here, and no, schools have no business teaching kids their morals. Thats an individual choice and it cannot be interpreted in a public classroom. When I was in school it was a scandal to see the movie "Phoebe" about starting your period. They didnt go near abortion or sex. And this was in Health Class. Back then sex-ed was probably 1 paragraph in our health book. Seriously. It was kind of the "don't ask, don't tell" line of thinking. My mom wouldnt even discuss my period. Much less sex! And she had had an illegal abortion & a child out of wedlock that got adopted secretly back in the 40's when she was still in high school. This was all kept on the down-low back then. Big family secret! BIG!!! Huge! Gigantic even!

should of kept the babies home and her little protest.
I think a woman should make her own choice. Its her body and her life. Not mine.
Rox I did not know you went to school in Canada ?!
Sounds like my mom to this day she never
speaks of " that terrible thing " that happens
to a girl every month ?! She's still delusional.
My dad had to be a mom and dad to all four
of us all girls. My grandmother was also useless.
I recall going to her and she told me not to bother
her ( she's my moms mom ) my dads mom ( 0ur
other grandma ) lived in Ireland but she would
have been a godsend to have near by instead
of my Italian part of the family. I too remember
Phoebe ( educational film of a girl who got her
period ) also recall my catholic school nurse / sister
(nun) giving me a book to read called
ARE YOU THERE GOD ITS MARGARET ?
By Judy Blume. That was a a great help and
she also helped me & my dad out so it ended up
ok. I being the oldest of the four girls was able to
help my three you get sisters and spare them the
embarassment of having daddy take them to the
drug store to buy " kotex". It's was decades ago
& a bit funny now but oh my when you are a
young girl back in those days it was a big deal.
Espescially when you are the first to get your
cycle /period and only 12. You know what I don't
understand my mom to his day but regardless
I do love her. I think her mom is too much of a
controlling narcissist and my mom got it from her.
But as I said I have a great dad as my role model and
if it wasn't for him I would not be who I am today.
My 3 sisters are who I also care about from the
cradle to the grave we are always sisters as well as
friends. My dad says the best thing he has is his
4 girls. Fathers get treated extra special by their
daughters. As does a mother of all sons such as myself
I know first hand how fortunate it is to be on
both ends of the spectrum of this family dynamic.
I hope I didnot offend anyone with this rather
personal post. I'm not ashamed of how I grew up
in poverty. I actually did not really know. My father
did the best he could for us despite my mom &
grandmas shennanigans ( as he puts it) as daddy likes
to call them out on it. At least my dad was able to
manage to hide some of his hard earned money away
from my mom and buy a lil house and it's all paid for.
So we had a roof over our heads and some stability.
This forumbyou have here DD is very cathartic indeed .
Thank you I didnot know I had all these feelings
still residing in me. You're great DD :) again thank you.
Kiki :)
Kiki! That was great. No, I didnt attend school in Canada! LOL...but I do remember the drugstore on our street used to have all the "Kotex" boxes wrapped up in brown paper so they couldnt be seen in public. U just walked up & grabbed a brown pkg and went to the counter I guess. No maxi, mini, overnight or anything back then. Just KOTEX! I still call them that , it's like when you say 'get me a Coke"..you will drink Pepsi or w/e...Coke is generic as is the word Kotex to me. My 24 yr old daughter hates that word. KOTEX! LOL!!!! So funny. You had a great dad growing up, I had to figure out things for myself and I started when I was 11. It wasn't easy.
Neither of my parents ever talked to me about sex. I learned everything from reading "YM" magazine. That's where I found out about a lot of things my parents would never have told me about, such as alcohol poisoning and the term "blue balls". It was a pretty cheesy magazine and it folded about five years back, but I'm glad it was around because I learned a lot from it.
My dad didn't know about sex until he was like 17. Seriously.
The teacher in this story needs to be fired. It is not her business what her students believe. Why are these crazy Christians always trying to push their beliefs on everyone else? It's so tiring. And it doesn't work.
I knew all about sex from the men my mother married before I was school age. Then she beat me and told me nice girls don't do it or they burn in hell. Sex ed, white trash style. No birth control, ever. When I got pg at 17 she sent me to a work camp and told me I made my bed and I would lie in it.
Rox I meant the Canada school thing as a lil
joke. I still call it kotex too even though it's really
always. Just like Kleenex for all facial tissue.
Yes and coke too even if it was generic rc brand.
Hahaha lol so funny. Your daughter that is 24
is the girl in dds post last week Kelly who just
became engaged to Aaron I believe. You
know I must tell you now that Ive seen Kellys
pix omg she does look like me or I look like her !!
Either way we could be twins !! Even though I'm
olde enough to be her mother ! My goodness
rox perhaps you & I are related. I'm 1/2 Irish and 1/2
Italian just in case your wondering either way it's
100% European Caucasian female. - Kiki :)
Hi Kiki. :) You were really lucky to have such a great dad and your sisters were really lucky to have you. Growing up IS a big deal.
I also grew up in a family with very little money and I am thankful for that today. It is actually really helpful to come from a place where you don't take anything for granted. I say the same thing as the Italian film director Roberto Benigni: I thank my parents for poverty. :)
Ah correction: for the gift of poverty.
My brain is fried.
Mich hi :) it's been a while since we talked
how are you ? Yes ita the gift of poverty is
a lesson to realizing that what matters most
is that you enjoy life ! -Kiki :)
Kiki, I am good. Both happy and tired. I just started a new job working at a film studio. It is pretty much a dream job, but a lot to sort out so I am taking it all in. How are you? How is Canada? :-) I can't seem to remember where. Toronto area?
Mich it is Toronto yes and it's raining but ok.

it like the USA does the 4th of July ! With
lots of fireworks ! You hang in there mich
congrats on the new job :)
Kiki ;)
