I have tomatos. They're tennis ball size and I can make fried green tomatoes anytime now. I have Sweet 100's ready too. The cold snap scared the plants into producing early. And my beans and zuchs are up and going. It's a beautiful rainy day, so I planted my Pumpkins.

The police/dog thing depresses me so much I don't even like thinking about it. Chaining dogs depresses me because I don't think they could like it anymore than I would. The morons around you depress me too, so reading your recent posts gave me a smile. Nice to hear some things are looking up for you.

Maybe this weekend I'll be able to plant a few things. Here it's been warm, hot, cold, cold, little bit warmer, cold, now this week it seems like maybe it will stay warm.
You lucky dog. You got fresh tomatoes! How lucky! I guess I'll have to go outside and talk to the boys. They are just sitting there making nice leaves and no tomatoes.

So glad to hear about your garden! Mmm, I love tomatoes. I have never had fried green tomatoes but I live in the South so you would think I could have worked that out by now. Enjoy them!!

Ummm...you must have magical powers with seeds, cuz...umm...thats unreal & kinda scary that you alreadybhave tomatoes! & Zukes! You are gonna have an insane garden this year. You & those garden fairies have a great thing going on! They really do love you. What do you do to appease them? They are very contrary normally. I give them little houses & furniture and I have no luck with seeds at all. What can I do? :( I wanna plant those smaller multi head sunflowers to use at my daughters wedding in Oct. and I am going to do that this weekend. What should I do to get them blowing up like you do? I am so proud of you! xo

Hey, I'm astonished, I thought the cold snap killed the maters, but, it didn't. I DO have a connection to the Elementals, and I will post more on it.
As for the white throne, lol, I suggest Katie Irene get some better lawn furniture cuz that's all I can afford right now. 5 bucks, dollar store.
It's amazing how your weather changed so quickly, and is so receptive to growing things. We started off well, but yesterday we had the blackest sky I've seen in years, and wound up with several very heavy hail showers, and lots of rain and wind. It's been an unpredictable year so far.
I love it that you already have tomatoes. That is very cool, especially after last year.
Christina, Iowa is bizarre. In the winter it gets 40 below, but, in summer it's a jungle. Heat and humidity beyond belief so plant growth is off the wall. It's not unusual to have a tree grow 15 foot in a summer here.
I also read today after you posted this that Iowa has some of the best topsoil around to grow anything in!! Amazing.
Yep, it's rich and black and ideal farming land. We are famous for the soil.
