Utility companies think we're dim bulbs

Public Service of New Hampshire is inviting its electric ratepayers to pay more than the cost of their monthly electricity usage, with their volunteer contributions designated for "development of renewable energy projects."
*
LMFAO! They want their customers to pay twice as much as they owe so the company can go, cough, green. Never mind that these vampires have no intention of developing anything else to light your home, because that would kill their company. But, wait, it gets even better. If you do it, they give you a free "do gooder" bumper sticker! Yay!
*
Last week I read that another American electric company was asking citizens to pay for their street lights. In cahoots with the city, they sent out a threatening letter announcing that if citizens didn't pay for the street lights, they would be shut off, which WOULD result in an increase in terrible violent crimes. Citizens said they have porch lights, thanks. LMAO!

These fucking utility companies need to be shut down and the CEO's need prison time. We only have one utility company here and it's not even here, it's hundreds of miles from here. They hold us hostage all the time. We pay our bill at the local grocery store. I hate those fuckers and when I win the lotto, I will build windmills. And tell them to go fuck themselves...with a case of broken light bulbs.

first energy in ohio wanted to SELL 2 low bulbs to customers for $21 for 2!!! they even had custom gift bags made for them AND hired people to deliver them!!! they would automatically add the $21 to people's bills!!

they claimed the price was 'fair' because they hired people to deliver them and they had to RECOVER THE LOSS OF INCOME THEY'D RECEIVE IF PEOPLE USED THEM!!!!!

a state consumer group stepped in and blocked this and the state utility commission has forced first energy to NOT do that.....oh were people pissed.....i was amongst the pissed people....i'll be damned if i ever use one of those low watt bulbs! too many health problems associated with them!!!

FUCK GREEDY GRUBS!!!

I have to pay for my street lights. Bill comes with my county/ township tax bill. I live out in a township & there are very few services provided. Have to pay extra for every additional service.

miss tia ~ I'm a First Energy customer also (Penelec). January 1 our rates are going to sky rocket. We've been under a price cap for years through the PA Public Utilities Commission. The gas bills are already way too high, now double my electric bill! Guess I'll skip eating next winter.

Thank you miss Tia ! Due to the potential
fire hazards and the fact that they explode
at will those low energy bulbs are now a
new govt safety concern in Canada. Our
consumer reports officials have issued a
recommendation that they be removed &
every Canadian household or business
cease in their usage of these products.

A few years ago when Ontario hydro jumped
on the E- bandwagon they set out to give one
packet of lightbulbs to each household. I found
one on my porch one day and upon reading
that they were made in the ROC it quickly got
tossed out as ROC means the Republic of China.
Miss Tia you have the floor. Please finish my post.

I wish solar panels weren't so expensive. But in the long run the power company BUYS your extra energy. My BIL has solar powered everything in his house, and gets money back because he generates more than he uses. He tried the windmill for a while, but it wasn't generating as much as they were expecting...and they live on top of a hill! You see those huge windmill farms in Eastern Washington....it's a trip to see those huge ass things in the background as part of the scenery. The windmill parts we get in WA, the blades, the motors, etc, are all made in Brazil. I don't know if the new shipment is still at the port authority here in Oly or if it was transported to Yakima already...they were sitting there for a few months...
