James Taylor was so fabulous looking. I wish he & Carly had stayed together. Gawd, he was so good looking back in the day, still is, just bald now!! & he had such great long hair. he's a cutie! rox
PS: I think all young guys should experience long hair. Because once it's gone they can't anymore & will wish they had. Long hair, if its kept up, is sexier than anything on a good looking guy. Esp if he's a tall, thin rocker! I have a type, thats my type! LOL Holy Christ, Axl Rose back in the day ...I would have ran away with him! Sexy as hell. Not now!! LOL rox
One family vacation included taking a ferry to Martha`s Vineyard. (not as fancy as you may think..i got sick on ferry..dad got sick on tour bus). This was in like 1979-1980ish. I remember being mortified when my Mom asked the driver to show us where Carly`s house was. OMG! Now I see why my kids look at me the way they do..I can be mortifying also.
I have his greatest hits CD in my car. When I am in the mood I will listen to him or Fleetwood Mac. Sing really loud!
you know who is still hawt and sounds great? Dr Hook!!! Saw him 2 years ago. Sexy as hell older guy. Looks the same as he always did and sounds great. he hung out in town with the bikers at the bar after the show & everybody was buying him drinks. A pretty cool old dude. Prob smokes pot daily too. Some things never change! rox
The husband and I were just laughing about this subject last night when the news announcer chirped that Paul McCartney was 68. Damn. It's a good thing most of us Boomers have our self-image frozen in our brains - and I bet that in there most of us are 30. Heh. But not in the mirror. I don't care. Our generation still produced the best music ever - and as proof, those original bands are still headlining. So what if they need walkers and wheelchairs?! And look like Keith Richards! I just close my eyes. :)
I saw their Troubador concert last month at the Hollywood Bowl. It was quite magical! She is awesomely talented and her voice has held up! JT is a legend and though his voice has been impacted from time- still smooth and transported me to the 1970's.
CK and JT in NYC. OMG. Old people. When did this happen? I feel like the ancient dust covering ancient tombs in...ancient-ness. Puts head on desk.

Carole King---recording artist and song writer, her hits include "I feel the earth move" "Jazzman" "So far away", etc. from the 70's, I think.
