Rest In Peace, BeeBee LaRue, who passed away from old age yesterday. I know she was just a rat, but, she was my sweet little friend and I spent every day with her. I'll miss her. I buried her under the Butterfly bush where it's nice and cool. And yes, that is a papal crown. She deserves it.*
And rest in peace to my tomato plants that my bitch neighbor sprayed and killed. I have one cherry tomato left. Those people are so childish, I wish I had a start of Kudzo.

Sorry to hear you lost your friend BeeBee La Rue. You gave her a good life. I had a rat named Rex as a girl and he was a loving sociable little guy. Always sat on my shoulder. It's so hard to lose our animal companions. RIP BBLaRue.

Sorry to hear about BeeBee. I am sure you gave her a great life. And a big F-U to your neighbor. A little Wisteria always goes a long way. :) And it is beautiful in May/June when it blooms.
Aw, I am so sorry, DD. It is so hard to lose a pet. I just lost my wonderful tortie cat two weeks ago (also from old age) and I still feel awful about it. I hate when people say "Oh, it was only a [cat/rat/dog/any other kind of pet]". No...it's not ONLY a pet...it is a friend.

First of all, RIP poor BB! :( Even though I breed rats for snake food, I have several that are my pets (Susie & Blaze), and my son knows they are NEVER to be considered as food!
Secondly, is this the neighbor with all the yapping dogs? A squirt gun with ammonia/water in it is a VERY good deterrent if you want them to stfu. (It also kills grass, flowers, etc) ;-) We had some neighbors like that; I told my son that urine, after it sits, turns stale and becomes a bleaching agent. He bought a squirt bottle and began saving pee in it; when it turned brown he would sneak out at night and squirt their car---stupid fuckers left their windows down-- their house, their lawn chairs....they never could figure out what that awful odor was! Now, they don't live near us anymore. A friend of mine saved the pot of water from a crab boil until it was rotten then snuck out at night and poured it all over his neighbor's front yard--grass, flowers, everything. OMG did it stink!!!! HAHA

RIP BeeBee. Like Briezy said, no matter the species, if we loved them, it's hard to say good-bye. My husband and I had two guinea pigs as our first pet as a married couple, and we still think about those two little guys often. If we were fighting, they always brought us back together. Hug Nikki extra tight tonight : )

ha I dumped rancid trash can juice which was full of maggots next to my crazy neighbor's mailbox in the middle of summer last year. that shit was fun-ky.and i giggled my ass all the way home.

I am very intrigued by Kim's ideas of how to deal with the neighbor situation. I did not know that urine was a bleaching agent, and it didn't occur to me that ammonia water would do much of anything, but I am going to have to store those mentally for just in case.
Why on earth would anyone spray and kill tomatoes? They are just stupid, aren't they? You need some weapon in your arsenal that will make their lives hell.
Wisteria or Rose of Sharon sounds great, but I don't think a simple barrier is going to work with these people. Just my opinion. . .

Oh mom. i knew this time was coming by the way she was breathing cuz thats what sherlock did before he passed. im so sorry. she lived a wonderful life for a spoiled little ratty. she will be missed greatly. on a lighter note, did u hear i am going to have alissa for a week? i get her on the 12th!
