Robot bumps the cap on the oil spill

NEW ORLEANS – A cap was back in place on BP's broken oil well after a deep-sea blunder forced crews to temporarily remove what has been the most effective method so far for containing some of the massive Gulf of Mexico spill.
Engineers using remote-controlled submarines repositioned the cap late Wednesday after it had been off for much of the day. It had captured 700,000 gallons of oil in 24 hours before one of the robots bumped into it late in the morning.

Hmm. That came from a source who didn't want to be named. I wouldn't want to be named either, if I had anything to do with that mess. I was talking to someone the other day and I said the PB ought to bring in some Guntowner's. We'd get that thing stopped. Everything we own is broken. Armed with duct tape, generic beer cans, tarps, super glue and whatever else we could find laying around, we could get it stopped. Are these people fucking crazy? Ever heard of a shut off valve? Stupid cock suckers. Maybe we should put their toy "robots" in charge of the entire world's water.

It was the shut off valve that failed, among other things.

Maybe I don't understand how this is all playing out, but how is BP and whomever else is involved, going to be penalized for this? Why aren't people affected by this being compensated? Why is the IRS taking a chunk of whatever compensation that is being given? Is there any means of preventing BP from declaring bankruptcy and making sure that they do compensate? They are destroying the entire ecosystem and peoples' livelihoods all at once, and it seems that no-one is serious about making them pay.
How on earth did Obama's moratorium on drilling get struck down by a judge????? Who is paying off the judge???

that judge who struck down the moratorium on drilling was a judge handpicked by reagan and has ties to the oil industry....

bp's shut off valve only worked with power and when the rig still had power someone was going to shut the valve off but had to wait for a BP higher up to approve it and they were dilly dallying and by the time they said ok the power went out!

manual shut off valve you fucktards!!

FUCK BP!!!!!!

That judge owns PB oil stock. Nice.

anybody with a 401K is said to have BP stock, even little people. So, it must pay big time. But that judge should have stepped aside on this one. I know those people need jobs still, but thats just really shady. I still say send a f'g plumber down there, we have a guy here that could fix it. I work at a plumbing company! I swear, he could fix it! Those idiots, one damn shut off. Hell, I have so many in my house its not even a joke. Who knows where a break will occur. You gotta have your ass covered in any event. They are too stupid to know that. BP=Bumbling Phools!!

You ought to be down here. For every article written, there is a contradicting article. It really makes your head spin. Who is blaming who and what is happening where? Who is in charge today, who will be in charge tomorrow? Who really cares what will happen to the environment and who is in it for the money? No one seems to have any real answers. And as for BP---the "small" people will be the only ones to suffer any long term problems. The big wigs will turn tail and run--can't be away from their luxury too long! Tony couldn't leave this country fast enough.
