I blatantly stole that off Biz's blog, because I thought it was too cool. It's little Sam's new fish and someone smart invented a fish bowl that hangs on the wall where kids can't spill it. It has plenty of room for one Beta. Beta's are territorial and don't like company. How cute is that thing?

Sammy's fish pet
I blatantly stole that off Biz's blog, because I thought it was too cool. It's little Sam's new fish and someone smart invented a fish bowl that hangs on the wall where kids can't spill it. It has plenty of room for one Beta. Beta's are territorial and don't like company. How cute is that thing?

That is so cool! Where did you find that, Biz? My son, for his birthday, wants his room painted as an underwater world. That would fit in perfectly.
LOL, it's also mainly to keep out of reach of my grouchy old cat. In her lifetime she's had her way with a parakeet & a number of fish and a small frog.
I got it @ PetCo. But you can find them online or at any of the chain pet stores I'm sure. It's very cool, but kind of a pain in the ass to clean - bc it has to be unscrewed & it can't stand up so you have to hold it. I've seen pics where people have like 9 of these on their walls, like living art.
Sam loves it and is so good about remembering to feed him every day - better than me almost. When ever he misses a pellet of food & it falls to the bottom, she gets very concerned & says "uhohuhohuhoh!!"

Beautiful fish. I've been wanting to get myself a fish tank with some of those fancy goldfish..I like the black ones.

That is about the coolest thing I've ever seen! I got my grandson a beta last year, it's still going strong. He named him Skilly. Biz, thinking about you...good luck w/the delivery! How big was Sam? I had one 9-pounder, middle dtr.
Linda - Sam was 9-9, this one was measuring 7-8 over a week ago @ an ultra sound. .
That is very cool. I would love to have one of these. We have a Beta who lives in the corner of our (very limited) kitchen counter. No one ever pays attention to it but me.

We had a Beta that lived in a 50 gallon community tank. He stayed in the top part with the floating weeds, and the other fish came up to visit periodically.
I miss having a Beta around, and this would be a nice way to have one.
Hope everything goes smoothly and just the way you want for delivery.
I love this idea biz. I would love to get ava this. So the cats cant get to the fish. But I have a feeling Ava would find some way to take it down. Or just sit there like the movie nemo and poke at the tank. She would rather touch the fishy.
