This $20 million dollar mansion sits right on a Florida beach, so you can enjoy the surf or stay home and enjoy the many pools and water park. It belongs to Celine Dion and her family. The article claimed Celine emptied the town's water supply filling it which led to "restrictions and a drought." Oh, please. Town water supplies can be temporarily low, it happens here. The restrictions usually last a few days while they replenish and it doesn't cause a drought. That's Florida, for cripes sake. (And I have a hard time believing THAT is the whole town's water supply.) If there's a grain of truth here, Celine probably had no idea that could happen when she built this thing. She paid hefty fines and then dug six wells on her own property to supply it in the future. Neighbors are still not happy..they're mad because she got permits to dig wells. This according to The National Enquirer, who also called her "star of The Titanic." She wasn't the star of The Titanic, she just sang that irritating song. Sometimes I wonder where people get off. It's her property and her money, if she made it right with the town then why don't they shut up? Ariel views showed no close neighbors anyway. I hate people.*

Adoption is a long process, if the woman wants her own babies and isn't making the state pay for it, what the fuck do I care? She has every right to have her own children. I am not a Celine fan, in fact, her voice makes me want to jab sharp objects in my ears..but, how is she hurting anyone here? It's asinine. Maybe I'm jaded because my neighbors are all bullies, but, fuck that shit. Mind your own business. As long as she's not making PSA's to tell me how to go green, I couldn't give a rat's ass what she does with her own money.

Wow, I'd love to live in that home.... :) I'm sure she pays high enough taxes to make it worthwhile for the town to have her live there.... she probably employs people from that town too, which is another plus.

I agree - it's her money. She earned it and she has the right to spend it any way she wants.
What I find disheartening is that she has chosen to use her wealth in such a blatant, over-the-top way.

I don't much care for Celine's voice but if she's not throwing around a misplaced sense of entitlement and using her own money I don't care what she does with it.
I don't like looking at celeb houses. I find their tastes excessive and disturbing and cannot justify in my mind why a family of three people - in this case - need that much house. Maybe she has some of her huge family living with her. She seems like the kind of person who would provide for her sibs and their families.
She has to hide her relatives from her horny husband. She needs a house that big. He's had claims of lewd behavior in the past.

Six wells? What, do they only produce a gallon an hour? I don't get it. Why would any one need that many wells for personal use?
What I do get is that the rich constantly see what their other rich friends have and don't think that "excess" is bad. It just looks kinda weird to us.

I don't care what my neighbors do, if they don't bother me, but I just don't like her. Did you see the pictures of when they renewed their wedding vows a couple of years ago? It was like the most opulence that could be had. Sickening to look at, really. From what I understand, she came from real poverty, and maybe it's just never enough for her. The number of wells is pretty off the charts, and I wonder what that is doing to the local ground water table. You can only pull so much out before you start having issues throughout an area, as I understand it. Maybe people are upset and worried about that aspect of her personal water park. Maybe worried that the ground will shift a little and damage foundations or walls. I've heard of this before, but I don't have any technical knowledge at all, so it's just a guess. It might be fun to live there. Personally, I would just be happy to live at the beach, at all.
Interesting observations. It's funny how everyone sees it a little differently. I wonder what I'd build if I had her money? Part of me says I wouldn't be exessive, but, I might change my mind if it were real. You only have one life, might as well spend it and have fun.
She's just showing off. She always shows off-believe me, I know what I'm talking about because I'm from Canada, so we have to suffer through stories about this hag every time she makes a move. She is always buying expensive shit just to show everyone else how much better she is than them. You guys should have seen the "exclusive" photo spread she did after her first child was born-she had him wrapped in a fur blanket. It's sick! I don't believe for a minute she built this water park because she wanted it. She built it to have the fanciest house on the block. That's just the way she is. Yuck, I can't stand her.
And yeah, her hubby is a perv. He's been accused of rape in the past. Never got convicted since money talks! But I believe he is guilty. Any dude who lusted after hiw wife when she was 13 years old ain't right.
I think she should let the local kids in to share the fun. At least in small groups, like scout troops, special ed classes, etc. Serve'em kid food, set up a sundae bar and let them enjoy the amenities. That's waht I would do....
