The Dollar Tree stores are selling cheap plastic flags for all the patriots who want to show their colors on the 4th..they have 61 stars and are made in China. Nice. The store was alerted and now claims these are not flags, they're uhhhh, patriotic banners. Yeah. That'll fly. Really? We can't even get our flags made in the USA? Not that I really give a shit, but, it sounds pretty stupid.

The Dollar Tree stores are selling cheap plastic flags for all the patriots who want to show their colors on the 4th..they have 61 stars and are made in China. Nice. The store was alerted and now claims these are not flags, they're uhhhh, patriotic banners. Yeah. That'll fly. Really? We can't even get our flags made in the USA? Not that I really give a shit, but, it sounds pretty stupid.

I just figured it out. While everyone was sleeping, we sucked up all the Canadian provinces.

It's actually pretty difficult to find an American Flag that's made in America. They are expensive as well.

I have to agree with miss Tia sadly every
country in the world has their flags made
in china. It's disgraceful. All the junk at the
dollar stores or walmart is imported from china.
The main reason is for the cheap cheeeeep
import / export market. They will copy and
knock off anything right to the danger point.
The inferior quality and shoddy workmanship
abounds !! I doubt that all materials are new
in the making of the various consumer goods.
Please be careful read the labels before you buy.
There have been some terrible effects from dollar
store junk. Last winter we had a recall for cheap
extension cords and Xmas lights catching fire.
Some knock of shoddy toothpaste had melamine
in it. A fake version of Colgate & highly toxic stuff !!
Lead fingernail polish !!! These dollar store chains
should be abolished. They are selling garbage
all imported from china for a dollar a trinket that cost
them just a nickel. Talk about highway robbery
the mark up alone is illegal at almost 950% !

I think it's cute and has a kind of nostalgic appeal to me. I remember my 1st plastic american flag from China, it actually had 75 stars, so they are getting better. Ah, those were the good old days! Good times, sweet memories...

This just makes me mad. Why the heck can't those morons at least get the numbers right on something like this??? It's not rocket science.
I am one of those people who check where everything is made, and don't buy Chinese stuff if at all possible. If you buy something that is manufactured in China, you know that there is a good chance that they have put toxic metals in it, or that it is made cheaply and badly, or that it will poison someone, or your pet.
Like probably many people on here, my father fought in WWII and it pisses me off that these are the types of flags that will be put on graves of those veterans (for those who decorate) and will be waved at sporting events, etc. It is insulting and just wrong.

There are at least 20 USA companies you can still buy a flag from. There is hope yet!
I would love to have one of those. I'd add it to my collection of Chinese made memorabilia. My favorite is the statue of liberty pen that says 'FREEDOM' above 'made in China'.
