Marilyn Monroe bought this place in Brentwood for $90,000 in 1962. She lived here for six months and died here. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Hmm, it's a pretty home and it hasn't been moderned up (I hate it when they do that), but, it doesn't really look like the home of a big star like MM. It's unassuming and almost looks like it's trying to hide it's secrets in the greenery. Maybe it's the age and style of this place, or maybe it's my imagination, but, it looks like it has a presence. Curious. Marilyn hated being alone and she had a tendency to talk all night on the phone. If you're sensitive, I don't think you'd get much regular sleep here. But, if you have $3.6million laying around, it can be yours.

I love that house!! I remember the newsreel footage of her being carted away under a white sheet outta there. Its a fab home and she paid alot for that for back then! It's gorgeous. I wonder who has been living there? It's decorated fab-o-lus! Love the tiles. I would love to live there. I take so much meds I can sleep thru anything and if MM wants to stop by & chat, I'd sit up in bed & say hello, why not? She never did anything to hurt anybody.

I think it's very much MM. Her showy part was for the public. I think of her in that robe and barefoot, just hanging around.
And is that one of those sneaky ass Kennedys hiding in the bushes. She was a piece of ass and then they killed her! I guess they learned that from old man Joe!
That is a lovely home. I feel like the picture of the living room is dense. . . or heavy, or something. Like there is something there that I can't see. I don't know what it is, but I feel it every time I look at that picture.
Absolutely beautiful place, though, and now that I know DD and Miss Tia are a little creeped-out by it, I would never want to live there.

I would give my right arm to live in that beautiful house! If MM wanted to say hi I'd like that too...I'd ask her a lot of questions.
There IS a strange vibe from that living room photo---I can't decide exactly why, but I get a sense that something happened in there that was important. Do you guys know what I mean?
there's something in that room....i just see a dark cloud in the doorway....it really gives me chills....i can't look at it again....
I had read (I believe on IMDB), that Veronica Hamel(Hill St Blues) and her husband once own it. When they went to remodel they found the house filled with bugging and listening devices.
ICSP, I'm sure that would have been the Kennedy's bugging her house. Makes me sad/sick to think of her dying so young. But I'm like BJ, I think all the fluff was for show, and underneath, she was a simple (in a good way), gentle soul.
Miss Tia, the doorway and that far wall of the living room near the door---that is what is creeping me out. I don't see a black cloud or fog or anything, I just feel a heaviness or density, thickness, IDK, there. There is something wrong in that place.
Actually, not even the wall area, mostly the area between the doorway and this end of the couch.
