Yes, they are sparklers. I like those, but I don't think we have any this year. I may have to go out and get some. I don't drink, generally, but I just decided I am having chili and cornbread and beer for lunch. Anyone want to join me? As the saying goes. . . it must be 5 o'clock somewhere. . .
When I was in elementary school they made everybody watch this horrible educational video called "Just a Firecracker" about kids who played with firecrackers and blew off their hands, faces, feet, etc. Ever since then I've been a bit weary of even the least dangerous kinds of firecrackers, fireworks, and sparklers.
I put the mix and the tequila in my ice cream maker. It is just perfect..I think I was a little heavy handed with the tequila though. My ears are burning and I only drank a couple sips..ROFL
Antiques Roadshow! Ohhh! I love those gay twin guys. They are so cute and very knowledgeable. Are they gay? I just kinda figured, but I am prob wrong. They just like old stuff. Last night observed several children being allowed by their parents nearby to light off those mortor shell things that goes up & explodes. Kids were under 10 definitely. Kinda freaked me out esp since I was parked nearby waiting for the local fireworks to start. Stupid trashy inbreds, let their kids do anything cuz they are too drunk or stupid to care. I just knew someone was going to be hurt but luckliy nothing happened. I know a man that was killed by fireworks, some kind of thing exploded prematurely in his hand & it killed him. Rox
LMAO !!!!! The 4th was a total bust here. The high yesterday was 73 and by 6:00 we were in a tornado watch with hail and rain coming in sheets. The petunias were pretty banged up but I've already pinched em way back and a week from now they'll be even bigger and better.
escrow: I should pinch back my purple petunias. They are getting very leggy in the pot and the top is not very flowery. I want full blossomy tops in my pots too, not just the scrub showing! How far should I pinch them back? They are about 36" long now and beautiful all down the sides but not much in the pot part and its not hanging its in a stand on my porch about 36" tall, so they need something done. Thx. rox
I cut them clear off too. The trick with them is to plant something else in the middle. I planted rosemary in mine. Now they can go to hell. The rosemary is beautious.
Are Morning Glories just a glorified sparkler? I got some real long ones and I don't know. I'm kinna skeered of fireworks.

rox...Pinch back to 18 inches and deadhead any remaining blooms. Then give it a big ole drink of Miracle Grow and that plant will go nuts.
