Nick Demarco a student from from the California College of the Arts designed an “eco friendly piece of furniture” named the XS chair that can be filled with anything you have in excess- old clothes, magazines or in this case, garbage and bottles.
My god, it's lovely and graceful and oh, how I wish my house was full of garbage too. Wait, what? It's made of vinal?? How fast does that degrade? It will last forever, you say? Thank goodness. I want future generations to behold this.

And it looks so comfy...not.
good idea, but that thing looks awful!
i like my trash outside the house, thank you very much!
If they could make it in opaque colors, and of a substance that is derived from corn or soybeans (they make padding in some cars from a soy base) and you could run stuff like the bottles through a chipper and fill it with however many bags of that, you like. . . now that would be a little more practical. As it is, ugly, and not comfy, I'll bet. He needs to go back to the drawing board.
Yeah...I'd love to have two of those. One to shit on, and one to cover it up with. Couldn't look worse!

Kind of a contradiction in ideas, eh? Reminds me of those Yellow Pages paper dresses back in the late 60's early 70's that I wanted & never got one! Very eco-friendly attire. Never caught on. I wonder why? My mom did used to buy those embarrassing thin plastic printed curtains that were supposed to look like real draperies. Anybody else remember them? LOL! Terrible idea. My mom was always trying the newest things. We had the ONLY silver tinsel tree on our street when I was 6. I am 53 now. I wish I had that little tree now!!

rox--did the tinsel tree have a 4 color rotating disc that was in front of a spotlight so the tree would 'change' colors???
Oh, my famlily LOVED those plastic drapes. I have a package I bought at a yard sale. So ugly.
Yeah, Tia, you 'member those? Worth a mint now.
That trash chair must be a hoarder's dream!
Imagine - living surrounded and suffocated by trash and being comfortable, too!
I thought that the beer can house was stretching it, but once again there's always a new low.
Maybe the creator of this chair could take a jaunt down to the Gulf coast and come up with some creative ways to reuse all that surplus oil they seem to have floating around there. Lava Lamps, anyone?
LMAO! Made of vinal! Can't say I like the trash look. There you go, something to get the hoarder in your life, they can stuff it with old newspapers or something.
OMG Rox, my grandmother had those plastic curtains in every single room. All you had to do was look at the things wrong & they tore, never mind what happened to them when you opened the windows in the summer & a breeze blew through. Every time a thunderstorm came through & we didn't get the windows closed in time it was new plastic curtains all around. Ick!
Sofa king stupid.
Oh, freekin' lava lamps..they'll burn your house down..lol. Damn, they get hot.
the 'new' lava lamps don't get as hot as the originals!!
Must be the cheap ones then. Suckers still feel like fire to me.
