That's Peg's Milkweed..man, that is beautiful. I love orange, I had no idea Milkweed was so pretty.

That is beautiful. It doesn't look anything like what I thought milkweed would look. I've read about it here and there---it's a good plant for butterflies, isn't it? I always thought it was supposed to be a weed, but this is gorgeous. I love the pure orange color.
Yep, that's what we call Milkweed too. We have a name for that plant in the pic, I forget what it is now, but, here it's only sold as a houseplant. And they stay small. That one in the pic is too gorgeous.
This is actually butterfly milkweed and lacks that milky sap. Monarchs are always on these flowers and they lay their eggs there. It's going to seed now so it has these large pods on it that open and have a cottony balls attached to the seeds. They reseed pretty easily and spread. I just love the color.

Oh! I planted some of this on purpose in my front yard. Orange is my favorite color and this is one of my favorites out there :-)
What we call milkweed is an ugly weed that oozes a milky subtance when you break it. That one is much better!
