I did find it wrong in this economy when most family didn't have vaca's this summer. Lucky to have a home! It was bad timing & unnessary and expensive. It just looks bad and unsympathetic to the American people's unemployment & housing problems right now. Not to mention the whole Gulf Oil fiasco and what that cost those people of that region. I have no opinion of her either way. But this was bad PR. Just sayin' and ya'll can bite me too if you don't like it! LOL

Hi everyone. I've been working overseas for over a month and had little time to check on the computer.
I was worried about MissTia's stalker, Pat's health, Bayou Jane's job, Roxs' wedding preparations, Army Mom(I think about you a lot), Congrats Biz!, I saw a pic of the family, and of course kiki and Velvet. Hi Frimmy!.
I've been working in Europe with my brother. Back in Texas for a couple of weeks and then I'm off again.
Before I left for Europe I was looking for the owls and came back with a wormy, dehydrated kitten that looked about 6 weeks old. He was in bad shape so I asked a friend to watch him for me and now he's doing great. I named him Julio because he reminded me of the son-in-law from "Easy Money" with Rodney Dangerfield. More on Julio later.
As far as Michelle; I think we could have used the money and exposure in the Gulf.
I have to unpack some more. Feels good to be home.

I'm seeing both sides on this one. Yes I agree, what do they want her to do sleep under a bridge? And yes, the Gulf could have used the attention in view of the disaster and the many people jobless as a result.

I see both sides too, but I'm leaning toward the bad idea end of the spectrum. There are too many issues that really need attention, right now. How about several working vacations? They got all this attention for being the first black couple in the White House, and then they fall short of fulfilling the dream. The dream was that they would be amazing, caring people, who were better grounded, and that this would be a breath of fresh air for this country. They are failing those who voted for them. It wouldn't even have taken all that much from them, but they just aren't willing to roll up their sleeves and do the right thing. It keeps on happening over and over. I want so badly for them to do better than this, and they are capable, but politically lazy.
Okay. I just need to say this about Obama. Right now I HATE HIM!!! I live in Los Angeles. President Obama is in Los Angeles today. On a GOOD day, we have bumper to bumper traffic that makes you want to commit murder. Why can't they just put this guy in a fucking van with a blanket over his head, and drive him to his fucking destination. But nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! They have to close both Santa Monica Boulevard AND Olympic Boulevard (both of which are MAJOR three lane thoroughfares that run the length of the city from the Beach to downtown Los Angeles) during FUCKING RUSH HOUR!! Parking lot gridlock is the understatement of the year!! It too me from 6:05, when I left my office, until 7:25 to drive FOUR FUCKING MILES!!! I could have walked home faster! And this is our taxpayer dollars hard at work. Why don't you just inconvenience HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, President Obama, so you can get from the fucking airport to the Hilton Hotel with NO INTERRUPTIONS while the rest of us sit in our cars having to pee and ready to kill each other out of sheer anger and frustration!! All I can say is it's a good thing I had something fun to smoke while I was sitting there NOT MOVING for almost an hour and a half!

I have been busy for many years doing a technology transfer between three companies with Governments involved in all matters from start-up to construction and due diligence. It took me from Russia to Lithuania, to Germany and Spain and finally Louisiana and Texas.
This time I was supervising a group of techs from Norway that installed faulty hydraulics in a machine and delayed everything. I stayed in Germany and saw nothing more than the inside of a warehouse and too many movies. In a few weeks I'll go back and finish the job and hit Amsterdam for a proper pisser!. I've been consumed by this thing for eight years.
