It is hot and humid here in CT. I have been cleaning all day for some stupid reason..LOL
I think it is the new stove. It is new and shiny..the rest of the area is shamed into submission!
Oliver (the cat I mentioned before) has been sneezing. No boogies but a little bit of a running eye. I think he is dealing with allergies because he is fine otherwise. I will keep an eye on him in the mean time.

Pat, the master gardeners of the community garden loved my corn so much..they are going to buy me one plot just so that I can grow just corn in it next year..LOL
They said it was a field of dreams to stare at..even though there were only a few.
I have tomatoes up the ass I tell ya. I need to make pasta sauce and can it for the winter. I am also going to take all these jalapenos I harvested and make pickled peppers.

That is about it for today.

How you feeling Pat?

It's very hot and humid here in SC. We had about 2 inches of rain yesterday and are supposed to get more tonight.

I'm ready for the weekend. Some girls and I are headed to the beach, near Charleston. We get together once a year. Three are from Tennessee, two from Georgia, and three from SC. We have a blast together.

Did anyone see that nut job here in SC that killed her two boys then drove her car into the river and said it was an accident? I think she finally confessed this morning that she suffocated them then drove her car into the river. I can't fathom a parent doing that.

That book sounds so interesting Miss Tia. I just found it on Amazon and may purchase it. I never go to our library in town, but just thinking of purchasing one more book to read and then donate to the Goodwill makes me want to check the library out.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Yesterday I registered for classes! Reg. classes are from 9 to 330pm. But I had to sign up for math since my algebra score on the assessment test was extremely poor....who needs algebra on graphic arts anyway! I got a 96 and 98 in reading and writing, and 79 on basic math. That should be enough! Anyway the math class that works with my schedule is the 7am class. Yuck. But I get Wednesdays off after math. Signed up for 20 credits, full time, but there's 2 classes taught by the same professor on the same day. That's why I get to come back home to sleep on Wed! I will start with intro to compositing, web design principles, intro to dreamweaver, and digital imaging. I am so excited!!! Now I need to apply for a parking permit and buy books and pay for tuition. Woo hoo!!!

I also auditioned for the local annual fall variety show. I got a round of applause and smiles from the judges. I think they liked my shtick, even though one of my props was not collaborating. I will know next week if I made it! The show is Lord Franzannian's Royal Olympian Spectacular Vaudeville Show. Yeah that's a name! It will be on two weekends in September. It's gonna be a lot of fun, I have always attended the show but this would be the first time performing in it. If I do, I promise video!

Tia I have about 40# I can spare!!!! We can do a suction hose from Oly to Akron.

So what WAS causing you to lose weight and sleep, miss tia?

I just read about the mom who killed her kids and said they drowned. Very horrifying, very sad story.

I'm reading Under the Dome by Stephen King. Not sure if I like it yet. Kinda reminds me of the Simpson's Movie so far. Reading it through might end up being an "unthinkable option". Thinking of starting the Outlander series again by Diana Gabaldon just for a mental holiday.

It's cool and overcast and I still don't have any tomatoes I can eat. Although my Jackmanii Clematis is blooming beautifully. Just in time for the fall frosts!

Not sure if crops have recovered from the hail storm we had earlier this year - costliest in Canadian history - corn on the cob is a rare sight at the moment, sadly.

It sounds like we have similar literary interests, Frimmy. LOVED the Outlander series, have read it multiple times. Under the Dome is good, better than some of his more recent things, but not even CLOSE to his old stuff. Nothing says awesome like a coked up Stephen King novel. The man doesn't even remember writing Cujo :/

Oh yeah, Obama is in Seattle today. Somebody was offering a 100k prize to get naked in front of Obama, lol.

It's good you got that sorted out then. Having to gain weight sounds a lot more fun than having to lose it.

I found out why it's overcast here. Smoke from the fires in Russia and BC. It's been a freaky orange colour all day. And chilly!

i have a dr. appt. tomorrow to tell her that maxzide is EVIL and to see if there's another evening water pill i could take....i will also ask how i can gain weight!

I only have a second but I'll come back later when the babies are sleeping...

Just wanted to tell you to check out Hardcore Pawn on truTV (if you have the channel). Hubs is watching it now, reminded me of when you posted about Pawn Stars (the Vegas pawn shop). This one is set in Detroit- where I'm from. It is interesting, not necessarily in a good way, but the customers in the D are a funny contrast to the Vegas ones. Makes me SO proud to be a Detroiter. NOT.

Miss Tia, I've lost 25# this Summer, but wanted to. I can tell anyone how to gain weight.
I am a pro at that.
Biz, Hubs is from Detroit as well and would agree with you. I am not from MI but love and appreciate the beauty of the Lower and Upper UP. Hope you and your Family make your way back soon:)

Just listened, I loooove that song! It really does make you smile. It always makes me think of My Best Friend's Wedding.

Thank you DD! And, thank God for Aretha. Hells bells, I think she was even singing live. Not something that often happens on TV today. (Or even, I'm talking Britney among others, in "live" concerts.)

If you're a Marvin Gaye with Tammi Terrell fan, I've enjoyed seeing their performances again on Youtube. Great, just great music.
