I wanted to show you the Datura, it's gotten big. Large heavy plants. It looks like the picture is upside down but, this is how they grow. They hold their heads up until they are a few days old and then they bloom upside down. Isn't that odd? The pale yellow is very pretty and I like them. I've just never seen them bloom like that. When they go upside down, they last about two days and then fall off. But, they make lots more everyday.

FUCK THEM. And double fuck the feeder sites. Blog sucking vampires.
I wish I knew even a pinky's worth of the gardening you do. And I wish I had the back that could take it. Love your pics..
wow! what a beautiful flower.
Did you grow this plant from seed? I've never seen it before...will it grow in Utah? It's beautiful!!

My comment disappeared, so I apologize if this is a duplicate.
That flower looks like one that grows all over Maui, we just came back from there. And there is someone not too far from me that has those flowers growing on a tree on their balcony...I keep waiting to see an actual person there so I can ask if it's silk or real.
Do you think this is the same flower? http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6560556&l=f926f77870&id=697888101
Eh...now that I look again, maybe it is a different flower.
Kylie's mom, those flowers in your pic are the same thing. Angels trumpet or Datura. DD's look like they are a double variety. They were in the news a few years back because some idiot kids were ingesting them to get high.
I planted these this year for the first time and will plant them again and again. They are fantastically pretty and were not damaged at all by the japanese beetle and earwig infestation we had. They ate almost everything else--including weeds.
Isn't that a beautiful flower!!!!
Yours is much more beautiful than any I have seen in the south. Iowa must be like Alaska, short growing season, but gorgeous blooms and greenery.
Your yard must be huge. I don't think I have seen the same picture of one your green leafy babies.
WoW it sure did get big! I love it, what is the red flower by it?
