Chinese Troll bench

Park officials in China have found a way to stop people from hogging their benches for too long - by fitting steel spikes on a coin-operated timer. If visitors at the Yantai Park in Shangdong province, eastern China, linger too long without feeding the meter, dozens of sharp spikes shoot through the seat. The spikes are too short to cause any serious harm - but long enough to prevent people from sitting on them comfortably.

China is crowded, you can't sit on a bench all day. That's not fair. You have to take turns or pay.

i'm surprised they have parks with all the pollution they have filling the air....and aren't most of those peoples enslaved in working for like foxcom where they make apple products making a couple bucks a week, working 18 hours a day and living in dorms?

i bet the metal used in it is toxic, as most things are there....

I spent two whole days once looking up "life in China" only to find out what we think is actually true. Gross.

Why can't they sit on the ground? Or on that little edging around the bench? We don't have benches around here. We sit on anything we can find.

Go Miss Tia!!!
