According to Seattle Weekly, which originally published an illustration by cartoonist Molly Norris entitled "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day," Norris was told by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to "go ghost."
"On the insistence of top security specialists at the FBI," Norris is "moving, changing her name and essentially wiping away her identity," a Seattle Weekly report said on Thursday.
The Seattle office of the FBI did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S.-born Muslim cleric linked to al Qaeda and thought to be hiding in Yemen, said this summer on a website that social satirist Norris was a "prime target."
Norris originally launched her mock campaign in protest at threats of violence issued against those who depict Mohammed, which is considered blasphemous in Muslim culture.

I would guess that Jesus looked more like the dudes in this picture, only of his timer period. Right? & he did get in an uproar when the market around the church was very busy with buying & selling and threw them out. You can't keep the money out of the religions and thats the problem. Its big business, always has been, always will be. If you do believe in Jesus, then he knew it was problem way back then and it continues today. The Catholics are the worst offenders of big money, they have much luxury properties all over the world and that Vatican City ain't cheap to keep up! They have to provide their own army too, as they are a separate country from Italy. Its gorgeous but c'mon its not modest, its luxury all the way. And they own all that work in there done by Michealangelo. It's insane. All churches are guilty, even the small town churches. I was at a funeral at a church here, meduim sized, & on the back wall they had a sign announcing the donations for the last week & showed the actual amts donated! They wanna shame you into giving it up, even if your own family goes w/o. & yes, they are all named Mohammed or Ahkmed, (same thing)
Can you imagine what the world would be like if people spent 1/10th as much time volunteering to help kids, or animals or old people or sick people, etc, as they do standing-up-for, and avenging 'blasphemy' against their particular religions? Religion is mythology. Always has been, always will be.
On a funny/interesting note, did you know that the Vatican has the biggest collection of porn/erotica in the world? Anything that was deemed blasphemous was reviewed by them and filed away. We are talking 'dirty materials' from books to sculptures, from as far back as the Inquisition! They have multiple drawers-full of penises that were knocked off of statues!

Yeah white/blue eyed JC is funny. He was a middle eastern Jewish man. Might have spent some time growing up in Egypt. The Virgin Mary is a misnomer too. After she had JC she had several other children. I don't necessarily buy into Dan Brown's theories on the matter, but researching simple history would open a lot of eyes. Thing is, most people would rather someone tell them what to think. Or they just don't give a damn.
A Hindu person told me they believe JC spent the years between two and twelve years of age in India. Kind of interesting. What did he do there?
Why is it profanity to draw a likeness of Mohammad? Why is it not a sin to write his name everywhere? Why is an artist's concept of a person nobody has seen be sinful? I could draw Homer Simpson and call it Mohammed, you know? Isn't the name even more important than someone's idea of a person's likeness? I imagine him to look like Osama bin Laden or any other arabic man with a turban and beard. Off to google that and maybe cut and paste...

Ahahaha!!! google, I love you. That's Osama Bin Laden in Arabic. If that were Mohammed in Arabic I wouldn't know the difference. Just like the faces. They all look the same to me, and I don't mean that as a slur. I really can't tell the difference.
Kind of a dull day, can you tell? (I'm home early cuz I had to bake this morning at work)
Back in the 70's, when I first moved away from home, I moved to a women's residence in downtown Portland. It had just become a co-ed residence a couple months prior, and there were no white guys living there. Only Saudis, Iranians, etc. If you were standing in the common area and called out "Mohammed!", at least half of the people there would answer.
The young Saudis, Iranians, etc. had no problem drinking and partying, but supposedly they were all from wealthy families, and had signed agreements that they would not marry any American women. They had no problem with sleeping with American women, but marrying, no.
They were nice enough guys, and no-one treated me badly, but with all the intolerance from the Muslim world now, I have often wondered if some of those young men went back to raise hateful families, or build bombs, or torture American people that they came not to respect in the West.
Most every one of these guys was going for a degree in engineering, chemical engineering, etc. No political or business majors. Only things that could potentially be used for great harm. (In retrospect.)
Christina...when I was young we used to go to Biloxi, Ms. There was a beutiful beach, good nightclubs, and an air force base--all the men you could want--to dance with, of course!! There were Iranians there being trained by the U.S. gov't. I have often thought about that and wondered if any of that training came back to slap us in the face!!!
There's also a very funny story that goes with this. I will tell it another time!
