I'm confused. Is it Jesus who ends pain or is it the magnets? Copper is 'soothing'? And magnets are penetrating. Yeah. My whole life is an 'end your pain' philosophy. Yesterday I took my mother shopping. At the grocery, she spotted "mom approved" healthy oatmeal on sale. 5 fancy ass packets for 50 cents. She said it was for Lissa. I usually keep my mouth shut, no matter what she says, but, yesterday my pain threshold was low and in my confusion, I said, "Lissa doesn't like apple. She likes maple from the Dollar Store. It's 10 packs for a buck."

My mother thought about that and threw two more boxes of Fancy Ass in her cart. She said, "At this price, she'll learn to love it." She gave me a sly shit eating grin, clearly designed to show me who the dumb ass was. Yeah, ma, you outsmarted the store, me, Lissa and the 'approved moms.'

Today she's mad because Lissa won't eat it. ~Shrugs~ Lissa thinks the lunchroom ladies are trying to poison her. She says she knows it's true because she squeezed a half an orange over her desk and licked up the juice and it tasted 'funny.' I told her to stop licking desks. She says the lunchroom ladies still give her dirty looks. Does that sound like a kid who wouldn't be suspicious of dehydrated apple chunks?

Lis just defiantly told me she's going to eat nothing but grapes all day. I said, I don't care. I might stop after work and buy a hair net though, just to freak her out.

Why would she squeeze juice on the desk and lick it up? That's just weird, Pat, not to mention GROSS.
Because she's six and she can.
yeah, i was gonna ask the same thing about the bracelet....who's healing jesus or the magnet? and how much is jesus making from this endorsement deal???
do they still have that paste in those little tubs? remember those? who didn't sample that as a kid??? i don't think i'd lick a desk though....
wonder why she thinks that about the lunch ladies.....
we are suppose to be getting snow today, finally, but no, it is RAINING right now! mother nature is having some issues i wish she would sort out.....or maybe i should contact that oracle of all al gore...
I never ate paste. It smelled good though. Lots of kids ate it.
yeah, it smelled good but tasted rather bland....
Kind of like apple oatmeal I imagine.
more like plain oatmeal! :)
I tasted the paste. Smelled better than it tasted.
I used to eat my bonne bell lip gloss--flavors sugar plum or dr. pepper were my favorites. God school was boring, wasn't it?
I never ate glue but I really liked the smell of Wite-Out.
LOL at the hairnet.
Why do they make lip gloss in flavors of food? You know your boyfriend is like "give me a kiss Dr. Pepper". I liked Bonne Bell Grape and bubble gum. The thought of it today gags me a bit.
I have a 6 year old licking food/drink off a table is really rather tame. I eat lunch with him at school once a week. It's a diet plan. GROSS.
"She said, "At this price, she'll learn to love it." She gave me a sly shit eating grin, clearly designed to show me who the dumb ass was."
Did you point out to her that the price was the equivalent to the Dollar store price of the oatmeal she actually likes?
As for those devil lunch ladies, don't be so sure. Some of the crap they were pedaling in my day made liver sausage seem appealing...lol
I totally get the gross out diet plan! When I am trying to diet I give my cats a can of fancy feast when ever I feel a binge coming on! The smell makes me gag--and suddenly that can of ravioli doesn't look so good anymore!
LOL @ the hair net!!
Paste wasn't something I was into but I loved the smell of those black markers. Still do.
My sister went through a stage of eating Bahama beach sand I brought home for her. It's made up of ground sea shells so it's not really sand. Anyway she ate a little bit every day. She only did it for a short time and she still doesn't know why. I'm sure it was high in calcium though.
Kids have weird issues with food, what they'll eat and what they won't eat and how they'll eat it. I once saw a kid eat a bowl of mac and cheese, barf it up, and then start eating it again. Almost like he thought a second bowl appeared magically, which it kind of did. Gag!
Sally, that's not a bad idea. I'm gonna borrow that.
Angie, you can't explain to her the dollar price is the same as the discount price. She'd just say, no, this one is 50 cents. We were going to the DG after that too. That takes hours. She had to buy Lissa generic valentines. Lis wanted Hannah or Wizards ones. Someday, I'm going to calculate all the dollars wasted, per month, by sale items no one wants. It all goes into her endless "storage" that she's convinced someone will want..someday.
Hairnet!!! gawd, that would freak out a kid! LOL!!!
I love my new hematite magnetic bracelet & necklace that Tia sent me for x-mas. It is for balance & energy. She is trying to keep me balanced! LOL! Girl, I am beyond imbalanced already. But they are so beautiful!!! & the magnetic quality is really supposed to help. I love them!!! Thx again to Tia <3, I think she feels sorry for me since we both have vertigo. :(

Sally...heres a bit of trivia for ya. Did you know that the average woman ingests 7 lbs of lipstick products every decade?? yep, we do. Not hard to do. I am constantly applying something to my lips to keep from chapping them.
On subject, sorta, I ate the paste once. But girls, I once had a "Strange" Addiction. I ate sand!! & black dirt. I still salivate when I smell good earth smells and black dirt. MMM...and new tires!!! I could camp out in the tire aisle at Sams Club! Tires to the ceiling and all around me! LOL...so I dont find Lissa's desk licking weird. Not even. Its HER desk! She wont do that when she's older and it matters. Just like i dont eat sand or dirt now. But I still like a good Michelin when I can get a whiff!!
Lissa, Its what kids do. They eat weird stuff. We have all done it. I tatsed fingernail polish off the applicator. Thats gonna numb your tongue. Kids figure it out. LOL!!
rox

Frimmy!!! Just saw your comment about the sand. LOL!!! I aint so weird!!

Hey tasting polish isn't so odd..after I do my nails I always stick the tip of my tounge on a nail. If it tastes bitter, it's not dry yet.
