Texas (yeah, my favorite state..not) woman, Victoria Brice got pulled over because her car had a broken left brake light. The cops found out her license had expired so they arrested and cuffed her and took her to jail. They moved her car to the side of the highway and left her 2 year old daughter in it alone! In the dark! OMG, wouldn't you have just flipped out? They would have arrested me for resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. Her lawyer said having an expired license there isn't even an arrestable offense. I hope she sues the shit out of them. They can't lie and say they didn't do it, because it was all caught on dash cam. What a bunch of A-holes.

Police leave toddler alone on the freeway

That is outrageous. Those officers should be fired. I like how at the end of the report the reporter says. "the officers have been given counseling involving arrest with children." Can't counsel stupid. I hope she sues the shit out of them.
I know, right?? Who does something like that? They should not get a second chance and should have charges pressed against them.
If you or I left a 2 year old child unattended we would be arrested for child endangerment and would go to prison. When the cops do it they receive counseling.
WTF. I would be hitting screaming and yelling at the top of my lungs to get my baby out. Crooked Cops. They had of seen the child. Did they even pay attention? Poor little child.
The cops should be charged with child endangerment.
I'm pro-police but I have to say this doesn't make them look good.

It seems every time a cop does something corrupt they are either ordered to get counseling, or are suspended (*with pay* most of the time!) What is so hard about FIRING THEM?!

Yea them fucking cops. Putting themselves out there to protect the public. Arresting this poor innocent lady who deserves a second chance of her crimes because by god she gave birth. Doesnt matter that another cop was left behind to watch the car. The defendent....I mean victims lawyer says it was crooked. Of course lawyers are always honest and cops are just crooked. Fire all of them I say. You all can protect your selves.

If there was another cop "watching the car with the child ALONE inside", why didn't he turn on HIS dash cam to provide proof that this child was being watched? I would bet that there was no other cop watching this car. They are just trying to cover their own asses.

Bill: Oh, I'm sorry I didn't realize that police officers were heroes who volunteered to protect the public for free! I thought it was just a job. A job that comes with power that is frequently abused. I dated a cop for years. I knew him. I knew his friends. A shadier group I have yet to meet. Would they lie in a heartbeat about whether a fellow cop was somewhere they weren't in order to cover asses. You bet your uncovered ass they would. They came from a normal city. Not a tiny little berg, not a huge metropolis. A normal town in the midwest and believe me, they don't have the respect for you that you have for them. It's nice that your boy scout training is keeping you optimistic about authority but it's unrealistic. Cops DO fuck up and do shit like this. And then they cover it up. You never even hear about most of it.

Amen Tonya! I also personally know a lot of cops and their favorite thing to do is tell stories. I'd even go so far as to say it's a rare cop who is able to keep their ego in check. Firefighters, on the other hand, kick ass.
iambriezy, they definitely have a power trip. I have yet to meet even one who didn't. Cops don't fucking impress me. I've told more than one to 'move along.' It's good for them to learn humility because they're so used to people feeling either a) fear or b) some sort of fawning appreciation. They're just people. I couldn't agree with you more about firefighters. Oddly enough, most of the firemen I've known WERE volunteers. They really don't get paid and aren't in it to control. Of course, they were all willing to let hot girls know that they were firemen.... lol. They know we all have a thing for them. They don't sell millions of calendars for nothing, you know.
