The Moon is going to be much closer in it's orbit tonight. According to experts, it will appear huge and may even be orange. I can't wait to go outside and check it out.

Im glad you posted this....it has been a much anticipated event at our house. My 6 yr old is way into weather and planets, and cant wait for this.....(funny girl watches the weather channel instead of cartoons most days!)
She makes her own weather charts and I get updates on the barometer all day long.....is weird, but funny and I hope she keeps her interest in science as she gets older.
I am so pissed. It was sunny all day and then got CLOUDY about 7pm and therefore no super moon here in Minneapolis. boo hoo hoo hoo. :o( ' ' ' (I would have stayed up anyway but still..It's fairly disappointing)
Well, the super moon lived up to the weird dream hype. I don't feel like I got more than two hours of sleep for all the crazy dreaming I did. It's going to be a long day :/
It was orange where we lived at first, and so we went to Corpsewood to go ghost hunting. Once we got there, it just looked like a normal moon, but it was bright enough for us to trek through the woods. It was beautiful!

I know. It rained here and we couldn't even get a glimpse. Pretty and foggy, but, cold.
