The celeb news has been so tedious lately and I am so over the Royal Wedding. I was hoping that when I opened the rags, I'd hear that Prince William had dumped Kate and eloped with Lindsay Lohan. And Linds..looking fresh as a daisy, like in that pic, would be moving into Buckingham Palace..with her mom, Dina. And I wanted video of the Queen's face as Lindsay (in her gravely whiskey voice) said, "So, like, where's the bar?" And then the Queen faints and all the servants run to hide the Royal jewelry.

I didn't get my wish

No one gets me today. Oh well. TLC ran royal wedding, Diana over and over. She was so bored at her own wedding.
I think it's odd that TLC is running Diana and Charles' wedding and promoting it as such a romantic event, when we all know Charles cheated on Di and that they ended up getting divorced.
I am sick of William and Kate, and it will be much worse if/when Kate gets pregnant. We'll never stop hearing about the royal baby.
well i am getting up friday at 5am and will phoning my good friend pam at 5:30am---she's on the west coast and is staying up all night--and we're going to watch the royal wedding together while we're on the phone with each other.....
but i'm totally into the royal family.....
i also don't think william will be king though...i still think harry will end up as king....

Alison, what you said about Charles and Diana's legacy is why I think Kate wearing her ring is creepy. Something that represents what that marriage was or became needs to be retired.
I have all kinds of mags and books on Diana. I really should go find my pics of Diana and Charles when they started their Canadian tour in Summerside, PEI way back in the early '80's. She really was much more beautiful than her pictures show her. Anyway, the marriage ended and then she was killed - I stayed up all night to watch the funeral and commentary etc - and after that, I just didn't care anymore.
