Germany, Volker Kraft decorated a tree for Easter. Each egg is hand painted with a religious theme. They are real eggs, blown out. It's ironic that the story and pics came out today..today is Ostara. The Spring Equinox. I wonder if he'd be upset if someone pointed that out?

i have yet to go up there, but i believe up in lyndhurst (about 30 minutes away) there's a house referred to as 'eggshell land' where a family makes designs with thousands of eggshells....
let me find a link....found one! from last year's display...they've been doing this since 1957....

Wow! I'll bet kids love that place.
the tree is pretty but where would you keep all of those?

My mom use to put up an Easter tree every year. She would go to the bush across the street from our house and get a good branch, put it in a basket with styrofoam to hold it up, and we would decorate it with plastic eggs and plastic canvas ornaments we made. It was nice and small. There are no little kids in our family, so decorating is very basic right now. But everything is in the attic waiting.
I think I need a few tree eggs for the hunt, don't you?
I think it's kind of neat...gotta have a hobby, I guess....
