Boo!

Those are two of the most interesting spirit captures I've ever seen. They were taken in an abandoned house on the property of Frimmy's friends..who also hear things in their house. I cropped, blew up and lightened a part of the last photo to see it better. You can see more HERE.

She asked me what I thought and if I could get anything from the photos. Yep, I can. What I think you have here is very active ghosts who aren't hiding, they want you to see them. They want to see you. There are at least two. That top one is a woman and a man, the man is closer to the camera and looking at it with curiosity (and maybe anger). The woman is standing behind him. They almost look to perfect to be real, but, I think they are real. I think these are genuine.

I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling. On the other hand, I don't think they want to hurt anyone. How old is that house? Is it being fixed up or torn down? Was there a fire in that house? (I think there was.) Has your friend heard children there? (I have a feeling there are children.) I wish I could go there, I think I could talk to these people. They seem more than open to communication. The hooded robe intrigues me. I don't think it's a bathrobe. I think these people are much older than most of the spirits I encounter. I think this house wasn't always just a house. (Meeting place? Alternative church? Hiding spot?) And I think they're trying to figure this all out too.

Can anyone explain why ghosts show up in pictures and you can't see them right in front of your face. I can understand (or at least accept) that sitting here right know there is a dimension I can't see with my eyes. but why do all kinds of cameras pick spooky up?

It looks like it use to be a gathering for a group of cloaked people. The spirit to me looks lost. By the way the cloak is presented and the head is down. The unfinished business that this spirit is trying to contain can not be finished. It needs someone to tell them to say goodbye.

Best ghost photos I have seen by far.

To answer the question of the ghost compared to the naked eye. I believe that the camera is a 3rd eye. That it see's activity that are brain and eyes can't . Because some humans brain are not in tuned with the spirit world. Some can only hear voices when other's see shapes and colors. Many of the human race can not see anything or hear anything.

It's funny because usually I would just assume they were tricked photos. But I know the back story and I know the kid and I knew they were real and could not dismiss them. But then what? Glad I have you, Pat!

The more I look at that last photo, the more convinced I am that that is a woman's Winter cloak. And early coat.

Happy Sunday Fawn! How are you today? Great insight on those photos.

There were others pics and I think it was the third one that kinda creeped me out. Made me feel like it was staring right at the camera.

Great Heidi. How are You today?

Fimmy I took a much closer look at your photos on your blog. You are in Canada right? The one photo of the settler facing the camera intrigues me. Could you please elaborate the history of this house?

Yeah. The beams look really old and solid. What's the story on the property? It might not even be the house.

I will find out asap

The cloaked figure reminds me of how Death is portrayed in movies. Hokey, I know, but Death is always a hooded figure, holding a scythe. That was the first thing I thought of.

oh please, so fake

Prove it. I demand that you prove it.

Dear DD,
Thank you and Frimmy for posting these photos. Rather than be frightened, I feel excited and intrigued by them. I live in a place built in the late 40's in a predominantly old Jewish community and I have seen, felt and "heard" what appears to be a very protective, sympathetic female ghost in my place. I can almost 'see' her at times; her clothing, shoes, make-up and hair-do look very much of the era. She is small of stature and round of shape. She is best known for unexpectedly turning off the light in the living room when it is late and I have guests over, as if she is saying," go to bed, Dahling, it's late and you should rest." She closes doors for me and moves things out of my path so I won't trip on the stairs. Her favorite room is the guest room, where there is an old Bakelite record player. I can hear her faintly humming sometimes. She cheers me. I feel like she is a widow and lived there in the 40's and didn't want to leave. I feel like she is glad for my company, too.

I knew you had Bakelite..lol. I just did. I'll bet you have Bakelite jewelry too. And lots of vintage clothes.

Aw Mary, that's a sweet story. She sounds like a kind soul.

Dear DD,
I kind of knew you knew I did - lol. 'Thrift scoring' is in my blood; things were just made better from days gone by. I am all about the cheap and cheerful. Always bought vintage clothes because they last! If I visit your town, would you show me around to the thrift stores?

@Meissa@112: Aw, thanks. I have lived there 8 years and 'saw' her from the get-go. Her demeanor is stubborn, but sweet, with a bit of sass. Others have experienced her, too, when they come over or when they house sit for me.

Would anyone else like to share a story? Would love to hear them.

x,
Mary

I've been able to find out that the houses are around 170 years old. It was a dairy farm. One of the ghosts calls herself Kirby. She said she died when she was 76. All her children - four - are also dead. So i guess she knows she's a ghost. Last time they spoke to her she answered one question in the form of a gecko They had asked her to send a sign that she was there and a gecko skittered into the room. Then she said "leave". They don't know how she meant that.

I suppose I can google this but do geckos represent something significant?

I'm chuckling at the person who insists this is fake. Where's the profit, Anonymous? You're not seeing this printed in People fucking magazine, it's posted on a private blog and asking for DD's opinion. These photos haven't been sold and you don't even know where they came from so nobody's looking for fame. Hey, I'm a skeptic too but this is pretty compelling evidence. I can explain away most of those pictures but the last one... well, I can't give you a reason for that. I know Frimmy and she's as skeptical of such matters as I am. She's also trustworthy and honorable. I promise you that, so if she trusts the people who took this then I do too. Also, remember that the people who took this photo DON'T WANT this shit here. I don't have any answers either but it seems pretty closed minded of you to just announce that the pictures have been staged. Just file it away under "Shit I can't explain" as I do. It doesn't mean you have to believe you just saw a ghost, but it does mean you have to admit you don't have an easy answer for everything.

Frimmy said...

Very well said and thank you, Tonya. I AM skeptical and I can't explain this. I accept I can't. I know DD can. I'm a little humble by it all.

Reminds me of my little boy picture that I sent to you a few years ago, remember that, DD? I had someone accusing me of photoshopping that, too. It was Ava something, if I remember correctly. Anyway, why would I take the time to do something so pointless? We are just people that, when presented with something we don't understand, try to find someone to help us make sense of it.
