I like to imagine they took her out for a Denny's grand slam meal after that performance and as she's downing her third hot fudge sundae, she's snickering in her head "suckers!".
I am not being facetious, but what exactly is 'the holy ghost?' What little I know of organized religion, I thought followers weren't supposed to believe in spirits, spooks and ghosts. Please advise.
I am curious why that kid is dressed like a polygamist sister wife?
Mary...your question is pretty deep actually because different organized religions believe or have different definitions of the "Holy Ghost", "Holy Spirit" or "Trinity".
Personally I think the Bible should start with "once upon a time" instead of "in the beginning" but what do I know.
Sugar is right, ghost is a loose translation and should be called "force" as in "may the force be with you". It isn't a 'being' according to the bible and has been misapplied by those who wished to incorporate the Babylonian belief of the trinity back in the second century-ish. They were able to make a case for the ghost being an individual entity because of a grammatical idiosyncrasy referring to it as a "he".
Probably "he" has Midi-Clorian levels that are off the charts too. Praise to the father, the son and the holy Jedi.
Let me tell it like a Holy Roller. There's god the father, jesus his son and the holy ghost. The trinity. They are all one and the same, yet seperate. The holy ghost can come into your body and manifest and speak through you. This is god speaking. It's fearsome and powerful and you must be lost in praise. This is when you 'catch' the holy ghost. Catching the holy ghost is a joyful powerful personal act of god..through his lamb. You.
If she was acting like that because she was upset about something "non-religious", they'd be smacking her in the face and telling her to straighten up and fly right.
They clap and encourage; she gets approval and ramps it up for more. Obviously, I'm a heathen who doesn't see what the hell Jesus has to do with it.
Having watched the 2 videos on the subject that you posted, I'm wondering if there is a link between extremely religious and mental illness? Because that sh*t is not normal
Grumpy Old Lady, I grew up in a town with a mental hospital that frequently allowed the mentally ill to run the streets. I then worked with mentally ill people as an adult. I've been around crazy my whole life and I've ALWAYS been struck at how frequently the mentally ill make reference to God and Jesus. Especially schizophrenics. Yes, I believe there's a strong correlation between the two.

I kept waiting for her to fly. What ignorance to share with the whole world--pity the child!
