You *can* do whatever you want, but it's hard to believe he doesn't realize how offensive naming a dog Muhammed is (Middle Eastern cultures HATE dogs; they consider them unclean), and hard to believe he's not doing it on purpose to offend people. It's not illegal, but it is in poor taste.

When I was a kid, I had a black lab mix named Allie oop. I was walking past a ethnic owned liquor store and the man came out and asked what the name of my dog was. I said, Allie oop. He said, Allah?. No, Allie Oop. We went back and forth with this for a while, he then said, with a huge smile, Allah means god is great, your dog has a good name. Whatever dude.
That made me laugh. We had a pony named Pony once. Strange.
It's a damn shame when you can't even name your dog for fear of offending someone. Everyone has to make sure they're politically correct at every turn. This country is getting worse with racial shit instead of better.
I think it's funny, because you know that guy absolutely knows how his dog's name is going to piss people off and he doesn't give a shit.

when i lived in johannesburg in the days of aparthied people used to call their dogs the 'n' name. try doing that anywhere in the world today. muslims are just the new group of people that we are being told to hate. there will be an attack of xenophobia on another ethnic group once we've realised that muslims are, in fact, human like us.
