If your child has to be kept out of school for a sick day, you call the school and that's that. If the child I have is sick I have to call the school, arrange for a medical exam and take her to it, and then document and date it for Social Services. That way her mother can not tell DHS that I refused to send the child for a visit because I don't like her mother. So, that's what I'm doing today. My life has become an unfamiliar conglomeration of social workers, children's lawyers, teachers, medical people, therapists, official requirements, documentation and meetings. It's a very good thing that I like typing. I think it's going to come in real handy in the next meeting. In fact, I don't think any of the dozens of people I now deal with are aware of exactly how much I am capable of documenting. (Accurately, concisely and with exact dates and times.)
I am trying very hard to keep my New Year's resolution and that was, to make someone listen to me. It has been more than difficult as listening to me is not the goal of of DHS. If I'm lucky, I will have another hour to blog while Alissa sleeps and tonight we can play gin rummy (Joker's wild) and she can beat me again. The kid may grow up to be a card shark. Compared to some of the alternatives..that aint bad.
**!!..has anyone heard from Erin about her baby???

ps..last night I trimmed the remaining bleached blond from Alissa's hair. She is now a natural redhead again! Yay!
hooray for trimming the dyed blonde away!!!
what a fucking never ending maze of government bureaucratic bullshit....i know you will prevail!!! documentation is key!!
((HUGS)) and i hope Lis is doing better, and you too!!!
and i hope we hear from Erin soon!!
Thanks. I don't know if I will prevail. I only have to know in my heart that I tried.
Yuck to the sickness. Yuck the meeting.
Yay for the hair and the precise documentation maybe someday someone will be able to write a fabulous screen play or novel and put this mess to bed.
would love to hear about Erin and baby too.
Her medical care giver says that she is over whatever she had.He gave me a note so she he can go back to school in the morning. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gawd, I hope no one calls me all day. It won't happen, but, I can hope.
All you go through is bullshit! It's like the good guy can't win. They're rooting for the bad guy. You documenting everything is very smart. At our age we cannot depend on our memories. LOL! That, and when they start lying and twisting info, and you know they will, you will have the truth in black and white.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - Lissa is so blessed to have such a wonderful grandmother! I hope you get some peace now that things are calming down.
Thanks for asking about me. We got home from the hospital yesterday. Everything went well overall and we have a perfect little baby boy. My c-section was a little scary because the placenta had embedded itself into my uterus. I lost a lot of blood and they almost had to do a hysterectomy but the doctor was able to save my uterus - thank God! Now we're home and I'm just enjoying my little man and sleeping when I can! :)
DD - I emailed you pics of the baby. I completely believe the fertility spell you gave me helped me finally conceive after 3 years of trying. I will be forever grateful to you.
CONGRATS ERIN!!!!!!
So happy for you!!!! ((HUGS))
