Awww, I feel for the dog. I had a dog get like this once. Do you know that dog never harassed a porcupine again? I can't imagine why. Actually, she never harassed any small animals again. Bella May is lucky, she got a vet to take them out. My dog got me with a pair of pliers and a little snickering.
There's an old woodsman legend that you never kill a porcupine. It's considered bad luck and bad sportsmanship. They are reeeeeeeeal slow moving and have no defence other than quills. So, a porky is considered starving man's food. They say men have broken their legs and the only thing that saved them was porcupine meat. I reckon it probably happened at least once before cell phones. I like the legend though. No hunter here would ever kill one.

So, just to let you know, since my emails don't get to you all the time. I just called UPS and heres where they delivered your box: To- Charlie Thrasher 211 S. 17th St. in your town, Iowa. They are going to try to retrieve it and get it to you. They totally changed the name & address on the box! What stupid idiots!! But if you wanna, you can drive by there and get it from him. UPS is going to be getting in touch with him as well. He should have brought it you, but if UPS slapped a different name & address label on it, he probably doesnt even know what its for! So, let me know if you find it. I am supposed to let UPS know. Tell him UPS will be stopping by too. I am so sorry. UPS is stupid! :(

All this fuss over such a small box! But it was really bugging me that it got delivered but Pat didn't know anything about it. So, I waited a week. UPS said today they changed the name & address on the pkg and thats who they delivered it to. They said Pats address doesnt exist. So they just willy-nilly changed it to just anybody? I hate UPS. I have trouble with them crushing boxes I have to ship from here at work. They are useless. But wow. Just, Ok, lets deleiver it to this house. Changed the label & everything!!! WHY? How did they decide that? Good gawd. It's not anything, it's just the point now. Something small I thot of Pat when I saw it. Jeesh. I will just replace it if need be.

uh, if they said her address didn't exist, they just pull another address out of their ass??? why wouldn't they have contacted YOU as the sender? oh wait, that makes too much sense.....that's just bizarre...pat's received many items via amazon delivered by UPS.....and don't forget, they have free insurance, they need to reimburse YOU and due to all this fuckery, they should fucking reimburse you your shipping cost anyway!

Soooo, UPS lady in Iowa JUST called me. They said since I used a written label that the address wasn't in the system. Hmm...I told her, I use those everyday from my office. I guess they want you to digitally create a label now. Ok, that means you just do their job for them, thats all that is about. But I have never had this problem. I asked her who decided it was ok to totally change up the name and address? She just kept saying, OK.Ok.Ok...let me check into this more. & the UPS driver is going to try to pick it back up today and get it to Pat. JC, I have no clue what the heck the big deal is. They screwed it up when they decided to change everything. Not me! It's their own fault they have this problem now. GD! Then she said the address I gave her for Pat is wrong! I said THATS the address she gave me! & UPS has delivered to her many times before w/o problems. JC! Now I am mad! So, waiting to see what happens today. >:(

OK, the UPS gal just called me back. Charlie does still have the box, he's out of town tho and UPS is supposed to pick it up and get it to Pat tomorrow! He can't set it out for the driver today, hes not there. So, 1 more day. At least they did find it. Charlie said he knew it wasn't for him but didnt have time to fool with it as he was leaving town. OK. Thats all. Glad thats solved. All this drama over such a small thing too! But what if it was a diamond heirloom or something? Thats very careless.

Cool! Thanks. I tried calling him, but, no answer. UPS was wrong to just put any addy on that. I was mad about the way they did that. Not even close! The street ad is right on moms house. They usually set it on her enclosed porch. My house is a little hidden, so that's fine. I think they told a lie about not finding the adress.
All this for such a small box! I had already made arrangements to replace it too. No big deal. But all this drama was their own doing. But now you will have it by tomorrow. You will laff, all this trouble for this??? LOL...but thats not the point, I guess.

The point is, you thought of me and it was a sweet kind thought and act. You took your time and money to send me mementos and they stole them by re-writting an addy they had no right to change. They piss me off. What if that package had contained needed medical supplies? They don't know. They weren't doing the job they are paid to do. Not right.
