Dug that up in the yard yesterday. It looks like a tooth, but, I don't think it is. It IS bone. It may be bovine, may be equine. It could very well be human. I have dug up two grave markers on this property so far. I carefully and respectfully put them back. One was for an infant who died in the 1800's.

OK, that's it. We have to acquire the movie rights to your life. Whom would you like to play you on the silver screen?
LOL..you always make me laugh. Let's see..hmm. How about Meryl Streep for the old me (I sort of look Streepish) and for young me? Maybe one of those Fanning kids. Put a padded bra on them and it might work.
Meryl Streep rules the school! She never ceases to amaze. One of my fave films star her and Jack Nicholson and Tom Waits. "Ironweed."
Post depression era, riding the rails, drinking the hooch, sleeping in abandoned cars.
It could be shot in both B/W and full color. The Cohen Brothers could direct ....
I've never seen that! I'll look on You Tube for it. I love her too. She's the bomb.
I find all kinna interesting things in the dirt. I love digging, it's my hobby. In one spot (which is where I would have put the outhouse) I find all sorts of throw aways. I have cork bottles and model T parts, and a pile of old celluloid I saved. I like to look at it. They made pic frames and hair recievers, all sorts of stuff out of it. I found an old rubber doll. She was gross so I reburied her. LOL. Still interesting.
I've prolly posted this, but, I find army men my son played with when he was little. He'd have wars (with firecracker bombs) and bury the dead. I dig them up and I dunno..it's like he's back as a little boy sometimes. For a minute or two. :) He was a sweet little kid. He just liked the army back then.
Did the rubber doll have that slack face with the eyes that say, "I am now sucking your soul?"
"Ironweed" is down and out. The clothing, cars, dialogue, mood is spit spot. I love this film; hope you can find it on the web. Make a sammich and have a beer. It goes with this type of movie.
OK, I am NOT kissing your ass, but LOOK at your post about your dear son and the army men. READ it to yourself; that is what I am talking about. Do you see how beautiful this reads?
Yes. It had dead eyes. Poor thing. I love old dolls. I'm looking now for that movie. It keeps being taken off. I'll find it. Can I have a pop and a half a pill instead of beer?
You said 'pop.' Love it! Yes, have a half a doll and a pop and hope you find the movie.
Now I want a Diet Dr. Pepper.
i went to see if ironweed was viewable for you on amazon and it's not....if you ever find something on amazon you wanna watch, let me know and i'll send you my log in information as i have free amazon prime and get a lot of the movies/tv shows free to watch.....
Awww, everyone thinks their kid is the best, don't they? I miss him and think of him every single day, but, what are you going to do? 'Specially if you have other kids. I have a great daughter and my son left my awesome granddaughter. There are other mother's on here who have lost a child too. We are in some terrible club we never wanted to belong to. Every day is a challenge.
Thanks you, Tia. You are always so helpful.
I just found this "How To Paint Furniture" blog. No sanding! Here ya go!

Thanks! I would have done it anyhow..lol. You know me.
My vote is for Meryl Streep too! I's almost throw in a Kathy Bates, but she's not as pretty as Pat. The "Forest Gump" Robin Wright Penn as the 20 something Pat.
Me and my kid were in the cemetery a few months ago, looking for picture headstones and we found a bone. It looked like a human vertebrae. I put it back and we high tailed it outta there. I love that shit! We always go and talk about what kind of people they probably were and straighten the plastic flowers and tidy up any weeds or ornaments that have fallen over. I figure they enjoy the company and living people making a fuss.
I think Kathy Bates is cute. Good choice. Bones get pushed to the top by the earth moving during thaws. It happens. I do think they appreciate you straightening up.
RWP is good looking. Thanks.
I'm so happy to know I'm not the only one who loves to hang around graveyards, the older the better.
I like them because they're quiet and pretty spots. I like reading the old stones. I hardly ever have a spirit encounter there though.
