Comfy, are we?

I didn't disturb you I hope. No, no, I'll come back later. Take care.

Sorry, I never saw a cat lounging on it's back, resting on it's elbow before. Geez.

I guess. Okay, yeah. Now get out of my garden. LOL.

They killed a bat last night. It pissed me off.

Sometimes we just have to remember that there is something called a food chain. My cats used to catch baby rabbits. I hated that. Actually, I don't like to see them catch mice. And they always have to bring it to me to show me their trophy. One cat I had who has "passed on" used to bring small snakes in the house. Mostly grass snakes, but I did have a copperhead one day. I think that one got in on its own or I think it would have bitten the cat. It still gives me the creeps to think about it. I hate snakes! I'm sorry, I just don't care about them like you do.

Since I've been looking at your beautiful yard, I decided to go outside and see if ANYTHING could be done to improve my yard. I walked out and came right back in. I have about 3 ins. of standing water in half of my yard. The sun is so hot that you feel the steam coming off the water. The heat index is 104. I don't do heat very well. And I'm just so digusted with my swampy yard. It stinks!

There's a huge sink hole about 30 miles from my house. One of the salt domes has sunk. The salt domes are used to store oil and there are pipe lines foe the natural gas coming off of them. I'm waiting for my yard to sink any minute now. (About 14 yrs. ago, one dome sprung a leak and a whole, very large lake was sucked in. Boats were sitting in the mud. It was a very strange sight.)

If you have a current satelite map, you can probably see it. Just type in Bayou Corne, La.

It's not a food chain if they don't eat it. They are well fed, they kill for sport and that's why I don't like them.

I hate the sun, I stay out of the sun. Your yard sounds like a challenge. Is it always damp? There are many beautiful plants that like wet feet. I'd like to have a small bog garden. I've actually been thinking about that. Send me a pic of your yard. I'm curious now.

Googles that. Wow! It meant business, didn't it? Wow. Still an awfully pretty area.

Jane, a wet swampy yard stinks like worms, right? Mine does. But we have had a drought this summer, so no stinky worm smell this summer. You guys are sea level, so that sinking will happen. Don't they only bury people above ground because of that?

My yard is low. I need to have some dirt hauled in. As soon as I win the lottery.

We do bury in the ground too, but you have to have a sealed cement vault. Then if you get something like a good stong hurricane (like Katrina), the cement vaults will pop out of the ground and float. Then they have to be buried all over again---if you can find them! Depends where they end up!
