Gaga is done with PETA

You can read her public statement HERE. I read between the lines and I get it. She's done with PETA and their harassment. She supported PETA, she posed for PETA and she gave them good press. They harassed her and called her bad names and gave her bad publicity for wearing things like that meat dress, which wasn't meat. It was a clever synthetic art statement piece. They have continued to show their ass by haranguing her on every piece of faux fur she wore. They have threatened her and tried everything to make her look bad. They continue to spend donation money on illegal destructive agressive acts towards people who wear furs or belong to legal hunting parties. With no thought or care about how others might live or feel. I'm not talking about Hollywood starlets..I am talking about indigenous people who hunt and wear fur. (And need the meat to survive.) No one will push Gaga around and I'm glad. Animals are good. PETA is bad. Team Gaga!

PETA is on a massive Power trip. I don't get it. Remember the 1st SATC movie? Samantha was walking out of a NY fashion week show in a white fur and someone screamed at her and threw red paint on her? She said "Gawd, I miss New York!" and loved it and smiled. Like "Eff you Peta!" It's just PR to her! For Gaga too. Peta gives PR to all the celebs they harrass. You can't buy that kind of PR. Gaga is artsy-crazy, but she can wear fur if she can afford to pay for it. I don't like fur personally. I could never pull that off. But they do harrass alot. & Gaga ain't nearly as cray-cray as PETA!

I do recall that moment. Hilarious. She was wearing fur to poke them. She was also carrying a cute dog and wearing a peace sign. Talk about a message.

PETA has truly gone off the deep end....they're like the westboro baptist of animal rescue....

I remember when I was in my 20's, I had a PETA save the whales sticker on my fridge. I had actually sent them $10 bucks and thought I had done something good. The next year I watched them, dressed like bears, attack a legal hunting group here. It was awful. The hunters were deer trophey hunters and all the meat was to be donated to low income families. I was done with PETA. I took a knife and scraped that sticker off and I have been their enemy ever since.

trouble is that many animals used for fur are skinned alive. there is a utube video of dogs being skinned alive but most people are too squeamish to watch it.  peta members do see this stuff and this makes them extreme,  they have to be, just as sea shepherd is in their attempts to save whales.  an example of how animals are treated was in the daily mail today.  its not as traumatic to view as the dog skinning video so it probably wont ruin anyones dinner or cause nightmares.  i dont understand why people are happy to bag peta yet often cant or wont even bring themselves to face the reality of animal cruelty by viewing pictures or videos of intense suffering of defenceless animals, just so we can enjoy their fur and flesh.  go watch the skinning video or read the article below and then come back and say peta sucks.  they are trying to end to this shit. i cant believe how ignorant gaga is.  the stupid stuff she said about the flour bombing of kardashian.  she has a lot of influence and is passing it up for the sake of vanity.  she has shown herself up to be totally precious and vacuous.  i hope peta pours red paint all over her,  she richly deserves it.

Lia, most of those vid are made by PETA. Think about it. You would never ever skin an animal alive unless you were a psycho. It would make the job too difficult. I won't watch any vid of animal cruelty because it hurts me too much. And knowing PETA actually sets it up, sickens me to the core. You know I respect you and your views. Somehow we have to get to even ground on hunting vs animal cruelty. That later can never be tolerated.

peta is not responsible for animal cruelty. they report it. you dont seriously believe that they skin animals alive and distribute videos? and are you saying they make snuff movies or depict real animals being cruely treated and/or murdered? what would be their point?
