Yeah, I know. The last thing we need around here is another cat, but, we don't have any kittens. All the cats here are fixed. My mom's friend had two kittens the mother abandoned. They were living outside in an old dog house and she was giving them milk and cat food in a dish. I don't know how they survived. They aren't even weaned and don't have teeth yet. They look about 4 weeks old. We put an ad in the paper for the other one and Lis gets to keep this one. She named her Chloie... (not Kardashian.) I put her back on the bottle because I knew she was half starved. She has fleas and ear mites. I put a hot water bottle in the box and she loved it. She slept all night. I gave my mom a dirty look when Lis came carrying her in. She said she'd pay for her vet care. But, guess who gets to give her a warm bottle at 5 am? Lissa is pretty happy with her new baby though, so I guess it's not so bad. She takes care of her when she gets up, but, ask me to babysit when she's at school. She calls it Grandma's kitty day care. I told her I'd send her a bill. Hey, that's my bathrobe. Geez.

I have to put this in comments, not on the front. I'm supposed to send Lis by bus to her mom's on Tuesdays. Yesterday I got an incoherant phone call and today her mom didn't show up to help her get ready for school pic day. No phone call either. So, I didn't feel right about sending her on the bus to another town alone. I got a call from DHS telling me to pick her up today instead. I have no idea what's going on, but, I have a bad feeling about it.
Too cute! It give Lissa something that is Hers to take care of. Make sure she knows Gramma only does day care during school hours.

Yeah, we picked up her new glasses yesterday. I think she picked good frames, they look cute.
I don't know what the problem is, I can guess. I'll find out at the next meeting, I suppose. We had a meeting Thursday and I felt like Dr. Drew on Teen Mom. Goofy shit.
Hang in there DD. Doesn't seem right they haven't included you on what is happening. At least to help Lis cope with changes. Guardian ad litem in touch? Is she still reasonable?
She looks happy w/her kitty. Hope it thrives and brings her as much love and comfort as my dear Emily did for 15 years.

I was told the meeting was confidential, so I can't write what went on, but, I can tell you it was ridic and I feel like her mom is still running the show. She can do whatever she wants. That's how I feel.
I can only imagine she puts on her Jesus Loves Me t-shirt and manipulates DHS at will, and they eat it up. If only she put so much effort into being a sober parent.

It's just been one of those weekends where you're so busy you don't know if you're comming or going.
Cute kitty. Will she let you flea bath her? Ear mites are easy to clean up, just some ear cleaning stuff that kills them. She will be fine. Poor little things. Lissa will be such a good momma. I wish she had one. Makes me want to cry. I'm sorry but I would demand to know WTH is going on. If I am the responsible adult here, I have a right to know! Thats just me.

You must be sooooo tired of this crap and so very worried for her and Gabe.
i'd like to know when DHS is gonna get their heads out of their ass.....how many times do they have to go through this? how many chances do they give someone? it doesn't seem to me---and this is my opinion---that they are focusing on THE CHILDREN and what is best for them....that's how so many agencies are nationwide....our local CSB is worthless....
argh! sorry....shit like this pisses me off....i'm glad she's currently somewhere safe where she can be A KID.....no child should be raising their sibling....i know you document and report things too.....

I see Niki is wearing his "Welcome Home Chloe" bow. Maybe one day you and Lis will find some peace. This is not good for anyone. I hope things get better.
I took the kitty to the vet. He treated her ear mites and wormed her. He put her on kitty formula. She's doing well. She'll use the litter box if I put her in it.

Lissa and the kitty are adorable. The kitty reminds me of our very beloved Gizmo whom we lost several years ago. Same face, and from the looks of what I can see of the tail, it looks like his, too. It looked as if it had been plugged in as an afterthought because of the dark color and sharp line of contrast on his body. I miss him.
