Raw Amanita Muscaria Mushroom is Always Spiritually Best
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAnd then...he dropped dead. JK, I have no idea. I love finding Amanita Musk for their beauty. They pose for my camera very nicely. I would not touch it unless I had soap and water handy and I would not eat even one bite of it for any reason, ever. This guy claims he's a Shaman. Maybe he is. All the rest of the idiots on You Tube are risking their lives. You are not a Shaman, you are You Tube idiots. BTW, Amanita Muscaria is NOT psyliciben trip 'shrooms..it's just toxic. Maybe you trip before you DIE. I think you could most definitely die, which means, I aint eatin' it. Fark!

em, no. You won't die. You can't eat enough of this bastards to die from it (well, you can try... but the amount is huge).
Unless you do it deep in the woods and die from hypothermia.Of course, there are other mushrooms who are way more toxic.. like A. Pantheria. That one is a dangerous motherfucker. Then there is alcohol (never mix mushrooms and alcohol) - especially Amanita's who are well known for their hepatic attacks.
A.M. is pretty harmless for a poisonous mushroom.
Amanita phalloides on the other hand kills. And dying from hepatic failure is gruesome.

no, but for just an example I know of a girl that was found in the forrest where I lived - her stomach stock full with AM - and all that happened to her was a psychosis. She almost died from hypothermia - but that was not from the poison, it is just a bad idea to sit around in a wet, cold forrest while hallucinating. Luckily for her some workers saw her pony.
Pantheria can kill you. Different toxins and way higher levels. Just stay away from it.
Both can damage your liver.
I know very few mushrooms well - and I don't touch the rest (some of the ones I do know I wouldn't touch with a ten feet pole either).
Well, you sound sensible. I'm gonna get me some wood chick and oysters though and blog about cooking them. Right now I'm reading about growing shiitake on oak logs. It's sounds like something I'd like to do.
You people know your mushrooms. I only knew one person who knew a lot about mushrooms--my husband. He would have loved to talk to you about them. He was my last oyster source. Wish I knew someone locally who could find them. I don't trust my little knowledge.
Pat, I had a premonition about Taylor swift the other day. It's a bad feeling. I cannot shake it. & it has something to do with the kennedys. It won't go away. Maybe you are just having a premonition? Hopefully its a false one! & just nothing. But I reallllly hate this. Plus, my daughter flew outta Indy at 4:30 today, enroute to W. VA to do wedding hair in the morning. Now, she's left ATL after an hr layover and ended up in Tennessee! Stuck in the damn plane for 2 1/2 hrs waiting for fog to lift. Finally they are putting them in a hotel and getting them out in the morning. She may not make the wedding hair appt now. She is PISSED! It was a big important job. Hopefully she gets there. But I am just worried about her. I hate this. It's from Isaac rain and storms. That effer. :(

It was something to do with water and taylor & the Kennedys. Why am I thinking about that? What made me think that? When this happens to me, something usually does happen tho, to that person. But I hope I am wrong. It can make you sick.

Rox, I HAVE had a weird feeling that someone famous is going to pass unexpected. Like, they aren't old. I dunno. That whole Swifty/Kennedy thing gives me the creeps.
I am just weirded out by the whole thing. How she seems so obsessed and cannot be away from that kid. I think this will end badly and somebodys not getting out alive and I hate feeling like this. It's ominous and lurking. I just think I will click on the news and there it will be! Gah. Who? Who knows? But she is who I had the awful feeling about, her, water and Kennedys. Not a good combo.

My grandparents and my father competeted every late summer/autmn who would collect the most mushrooms. That could take on crazy levels (even worse the competition on blue berries. With mushrooms we kids were only involved on a volunteer basis. Berry picking was a must) Mushrooms - a grand aunt always won. You could send her into an area where others have found everything - and she would still find several bags... she was a total pro... learnt mushroom hunting from a forrester..
