Garden things

The speckled Zinna's are starting to open. I hope to save seeds, but, I planted a patch of plain Zinnia's in a smaller bed near these, so they'll probably cross pollinate. Pretty things, there's all sorts off odd color combinations.

The Kentucky Burl Tobacco seeds I started are doing well in the Iowa heat and humidity. I have two long rows of it in the garden and more in pots. It's a very soft plant, velvety without being fuzzy. I have to read more about how to deal with drying it correctly. I'm curious to smoke tobacco with no chemicals in it. You can buy filters for it. Or filtered papers. You can even buy Menthol crystals to add if you're into that. There's a whole world of supplies for home grown tobacco growers to explore.

Let us know how this works out. You'll be able to save a lot of $$$$$. I quit smoking 5 months ago. Was easier than I would have thought. I did buy an electronic cig. It helps when I'm really aggravated

I never thought about growing my own. Good idea.

The speckled Zinnia looks like a birds eye view of a lady spinning around in a big vintage skirt. I love the striping on the petals. I am a succulent and cacti sort of gal; not super nifty with flowers and such. Shit for a green thumb. Hahaha - guess I have a brown thumb. HAHAHA.
