Bee carrying pollen

The Daily Mail thinks that bee carrying pollen looks like a Transformer. Which is completely stupid. Sometimes I think The Daily Mail has a staff of people hired to come up with the most retarded headlines in the history of the media. But, the photo did make me think about how much pollen bees really carry. It's an enormous amount. And that realization make me double my protest against the horrible pesticides we use here in this country. If we don't stop accidentally destroying bee populations, we are going to face serious food shortages. Bees pollinate plants enabling them to produce, plain and simple. No bees, no fruit or vegetables. Not to mention flowers. (And delicious honey.) The mass spraying has to stop. Big pesticide companies are our enemy. And it's not just commercial fields. Every time some idiot in the neighborhood spays the shit willy nilly, having no idea what he's doing, neighborhood bees are affected. Who the hell is afraid of honey bees and bumble bees? It breaks my heart whenever one of these idiots kills an established bee hive. It should be illegal. Fly on wee bee!

My nephew is/was a bee keeper. His hives have been empty for over a year.

Also, that bee looks like my car, covered in pollen.

Last year after a tropical storm, they all just left and didn't return. I think he said he needed another queen. (Does that sound right?) He's a lot like me. He's a procrastinator.

Just saw the last episode of Walking Dead. I think the BBQ at the Terminus were the people in the train cars. Crabbie, I know you watch this. What do you think?

be calm around bees, bumble bees and wasps and bees, bumble bees and wasps will be calm around you.

I don't hurt them, they don't hurt me.

Bonus: with the right timing you can pet bumble bees.

Jane, there are several sites on the net that sell bees and queens. He can re-stock. I was seriously thinking of getting bees awhile back and I looked into it.

Bastard, you're right, except for wasps. Those fucking basterds are mean. They send me running for my hypo I keep in the fridge. Or I have to go to the hospital. Only wasps. Other bees are all cool and yeah, I pet the bumbles while they're collecting pollen. Every time I move hay, I get stung by a bumble. Every fucking time! But, I still like them. They're BIG here. I call them 'Rumble B 52's'.

He said he was going to. He just procrastinates a lot.

I have a lot of trouble with wasps building nests on my decks. They love to hook those things under railings.

Hi, Jane. I think he is just fucking lazy :)

I never got stung by a bumble, last time I got stung by a bee was 20 years ago, last time wasp 30 years ago.

I don't flail around, I don't even react. I stay calm. They do their stuff, I do mine.

And since wasps eat all those fuckers I really hate (aka flies, horse flies and bot flies) they are my friends. In my youth every year there was a wasp nest right under my rooms window. Never had a problem.

Bastard, I just hate them. They're mean. They go out of their way to sting me. I avoid going out in the heat. I think they run like a battery and the high heat recharges them. Wicked stingers.

Bumbles love hay for some reason, and I always put my forearm on one. They don't hurt much though. I'm only allergic to wasps, but, it's bad.

Jane, I have mud daubers. They're quick at building and if I don't use my front door for a day, they make a mud nest on it. So quick! I have to scrape it down with a knife. They don't seem to want to sting though. They look like a wasp, but, they're blue. Peaceful creatures, but, man can they work some mud.

I love that picture! It's wonderful. And the bee-killing is no accident. Monsanto has been engineering it for a very long time. They have even now come up with the perfect antidote to killing bees, and they own the patent on that too. So, it won't be used. Unless they decide to sell it to the world for bo-jillions of dollars. Nope, Monsanto planned this and they F'd the world. Thankfully, i have been meeting so many people now that are getting into bee keeping in a big way. It's very exciting. So now, the world of bee keepers even have a Bee College each February here. I am very appreciative to those that are doing it. It is all we have to save the earth. No bees=No Earth
