Remember that movie where smart assed yuppie Wynonna Ryder was asked to define 'irony' and she had no clue? (What movie WAS that? I forget.) My definition of irony (besides Wikipedia) is that Yahoo gives us an article on the oppositions of health care insurance paying for birth control, HERE and right underneath that is the headline, "3 children starving and 1 chained to the floor", HERE.
Both these articles sent me into a conniption, but, I'll try and join a discussion if you have something to say about them.
More irony, HERE. Lady Gaga's new GUY Artpop video features the Real Housewives fake playing and fake singing. That's true irony, when someone with the immense talent of Gaga throws it away with plastic people who have no known talent at all, yet are still 'famous'. Famous for being worthless. Now I understand her green puke vid. (Gross.) Andy Warhol was right. He was the prophet of his time. If 'art' makes you want to cry in frustration and gives you indigestion, is it still art?
