This is an open letter to Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, the grandparents of one Ms. Sunnie Kahle, aged 8, who was kicked out of her Christian school because her grandparents refuse to make her dress in a more 'feminine' manner. Sunnie is not gender confused, she identifies as a girl, which is what she is. She's a girl who likes boy's clothes and playing sports. (Let's face it, boy's clothes are better when you're playing sports. Ask Lissa.) Oh, and wearing her hair short, which I must say, is very becoming on her. She also clearly likes little girl's jewelry. Oh, did I mention what a good academic student Sunnie is? Yep, there's that too. She's a smart cookie and seems to have many friends. Isn't she just as cute as a gnat's wrist watch? I think so.
The school principal : "We believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand
that God has made her female and her dress and behavior need to follow
suit with her God-ordained identity, that Timberlake Christian School is not the best place for
her future education."
Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, you are the best grandparents ever for not allowing this principal (who doesn't even know how to use punctuation marks) to bully your perfectly normal little tomboy granddaughter. I think you are awesome and taking her out of that narrow minded school environment will improve her life greatly. There will be no more crying on the bus because of these horrible adult biblical-bullies. Shame on them. I'm sorry to tell you, I don't believe in god, but, if there is a god, how could he look at Sunnie, his own creation, and see and feel anything but joy and pride in this adorable, perfect, little girl? Keep raising her the way you are and watch her grow up to be anything she wants, happy and secure in the knowledge that she has a family who loves and accepts her just the way she is. You are doing a great job and Sunnie is as lucky to have you as you are to be blessed with her.
Awesome grandparents who won't allow anyone to unfairly bully their granddaughter. I hope they Google their names and find this. Rock on, Grandma and Grandpa! The whole story is HERE.

LOVE this! thanks for posting.
God is too busy ass-raping Fred Phelps to give a crap how little kids dress.
That may be the best thing that ever happened to that little girl. I hope she finds a school that makes her feel good about herself.
And I wish I could get my hair to do that.
Getting kicked out of (ahem) Christian school is the best thing to happen to this little gal. She won't be brainwashed by a bunch of control freaks and hypocrites.
Her Grandparents rock.
